World's Quickest Political Quiz

Do you think you know where you stand politically? Are you sure? The result from this short test may surprise you and give you some food for thought. You'll be asked just 10 questions, and then it instantly tells you where you stand politically. It shows your position as a red dot on a "political map" so you'll see exactly where you score. The Quiz has received a lot of praise. The Washington Post said it has "gained respect as a valid measure of a person's political leanings.." The Fraser Institute said it's "a fast, fun, and accurate assessment of a person's overall political views." Suite University said it is the "most concise and accurate political quiz out there."

How did you all score? I'm a centrist but I'm on the verge of being a libertarian.

Your ECONOMIC issues Score is 80%.

LIBERTARIANS support maximum liberty in both personal and

economic matters. They advocate a much smaller government; one

that is limited to protecting individuals from coercion and violence.

Libertarians tend to embrace individual responsibility, oppose

government bureaucracy and taxes, promote private charity, tolerate

diverse lifestyles, support the free market, and defend civil liberties

i'm a nnw libertarian...

Liberal.

LIBERALS usually embrace freedom of choice in personal

matters, but tend to support significant government control of the

economy. They generally support a government-funded "safety net"
to help the disadvantaged, and advocate strict regulation

of business. Liberals tend to favor environmental regulations,

defend civil liberties and free expression, support government action

to promote equality, and tolerate diverse lifestyles. However, no matter what

they say on the campaign trail for President, Liberals forego morality, and

become Turkey's Bitch.

AP-GfK Poll: Obama more popular than Congress

WASHINGTON – Americans have come to detest Congress ever more deeply as it nears the end of a nasty fight over health care. But more than half still back President Barack Obama, a bright spot for a Democratic Party counting on its leader to help stave off expected losses in elections this fall.

The latest Associated Press-GfK poll found that fewer people approve of Congress than at any point in Obama's presidency. Support has dropped significantly since January to a dismal 22 percent as the health care debate has roiled Capitol Hill. Neither Republicans nor Democrats are safe; half of all people say they want to fire their congressman.

Obama's overall standing hasn't really moved since January. Neither have his ratings on health care and the economy.

By comparison, Congress' approval rating has dropped 10 percentage points since January, perhaps an indication that people are blaming lawmakers more than the president for gridlock that has paralyzed Washington on a host of fronts

Cannon shell poll: Osama more popular than Congress

SCUDSBROTHER 03-11-2010 08:08 PM

Seems like the poll is not too good at separating Orange County Ca. (money) Republicans from Libertarians. Libertarians would be against these wars in both Iraq, and Afghanistan. They'd be pro-choice. They'd want to get rid of Social Security, and Medicare. I don't think they'd want to make insurance companies stop dropping sick people etc. They'd be against providing even emergency care to the poor. There are against public schooling. They might even be against having public fire departments. In that Mississippi Prom thing, they would be on the side of the Lesbian couple. I highly doubt there are that many people on here that are willing to agree to all this.

I had Personal 90% and Economic 90%
A Libertarian

Ii have read a lot about Thos. Jefferson as he used to sign his name.
I also read a few of Mark Twain's biographies and some of Will Rodgers writings.

If we do not read history correctly, we are bound to repeat it perpetually.

Read these quotes

"It has been said, the greatest volume of sheer brain power in the White House occurred one evening when Jefferson dined alone." -John Kennedy

HOW DID JEFFERSON KNOW?

Especially, read the last quote from 1802.

When we get piled upon one another in large cities, as in Europe, we shall become as corrupt as Europe.
Thomas Jefferson

The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not.
Thomas Jefferson

It is incumbent on every generation to pay its own debts as it goes.
A principle which if acted on would save one-half the wars of the world.
Thomas Jefferson

I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.
Thomas Jefferson

My reading of history convinces me that most bad government results from too much government.
Thomas Jefferson

No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms.
Thomas Jefferson

The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.
Thomas Jefferson

The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Thomas Jefferson

To compel a man to subsidize with his taxes the propagation of ideas which he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical.
Thomas Jefferson

Thomas Jefferson said in 1802:
'I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.'

'If you don't read the newspaper you are uninformed, if you do read the newspaper you are misinformed.'
-Mark Twain

don't agree with all you present as the libertarian party, but I still agreed with most. :)

When asked in a poll about troop levels in Afghanistan, 69% of Libertarian responders voted for :
I believe we should follow a Libertarian non-interventionist foreign policy, and start withdrawing troops from Afghanistan.

The paragraph below is what these freaks have in their education platform (you decipher this sht, but I think they are against having public schools.)_

"Education, like any other service, is best provided by the free market, achieving greater quality and efficiency with more diversity of choice. Schools should be managed locally to achieve greater accountability and parental involvement. Recognizing that the education of children is inextricably linked to moral values, we would return authority to parents to determine the education of their children, without interference from government. In particular, parents should have control of and responsibility for all funds expended for their children's education."

As far as the E.R. care for the poor goes, THE PARAGRAPH BELOW IS THEIR PLATFORM. If you're well off, you get healthcare, and if you're poor, then you don't.

We favor restoring and reviving a free market health care system. We recognize the freedom of individuals to determine the level of health insurance they want, the level of health care they want, the care providers they want, the medicines and treatments they will use and all other aspects of their medical care, including end-of-life decisions.

This party is for the cheapest human waste produced. The reason they don't want to send forces to other countries is not because they care about preserving life, they are simply too cheap to care about whatever the reason is that we are sending forces. I am against sending forces there, because I don't think it will work. To me, the problem is Islam, and not just a patch of Muslims. We can't kill enough Muslims to solve anything. More groups will pop up, and take their place. All we can do is keep them from coming into civilized countries.

SOREHOOF 03-12-2010 06:18 PM

That's where private charity comes in. Can you imagine if all of the money that is spent on elections and re-elections, lobbying, payoffs, pork, etc. was spent for all of the social programs the left is pushing? There would be no need for socialized anything, or raising taxes. The poor would be taken care of by people like you and me. Let's not wait around for the rich, or the politicians to take care of it.
