Betting Zenny and RA

If one of them goes off at or above $5 to win and the other returns at least $4.20 no matter which one of them wins your money ahead. I know I know what if neither of them win then your screwed. Just thinking out loud. Also I wonder which one will have the most show money on them. Oaklawn pays .05 on a dollar I think.

robfla 02-13-2010 08:59 AM

LOL...$5.00 to win...and the other $4.20.????...dude you are smoking some real good 420 if you think this scenario has any chance. First, lets see how many entries, then maybe you will see two 1/2 shots or a 2/5 and 4/5

randallscott35 02-13-2010 09:00 AM

More value playing one to be out of the exacta.

NTamm1215 02-13-2010 09:20 AM

As exciting as this race will be from a fan standpoint, it's going to be next to impossible to wager on it with success.

Unless Winning Colors, Personal Ensign, Lady Secret and Ruffian are in the field I think we can assume one of the two will be odds on

miraja2 02-13-2010 09:34 AM

I can't really say exactly how I will play the race at this point since we don't even know who is in the race or what the big two will do over the next two months. However, I supect I will just play RA to win...even if she's odds on.
If there is other speed in the race....I'll bet some on RA.
If there isn't other speed in there....I'll bet some more on RA.

jwkniska 02-13-2010 09:44 AM

could set up the biggest bridge to jump off of in a long time!

TheSpyder 02-13-2010 09:48 AM

Why even think about betting on this race? Unless you have a strong opinion, which I think may be next to impossible, this is a race to just sit back and watch, one for the ages.

Thunder Gulch 02-13-2010 10:12 AM

RA to win big and backwheel exacta. It will be the first time in a year you get anything close to even money on her.

anamulla 02-13-2010 10:17 AM

I think the best you can do is buy a ticket and keep it as souvenir. In the future that ticket will have a collectible value.

booner 02-13-2010 12:38 PM

I'm with Spyder on this one. I'll just sit back and enjoy the show.

Indian Charlie 02-13-2010 12:47 PM

Make a $50 win bet on Zenyatta, and after Zenyatta loses, sell the ticket to Smooth Operator for $100.

Easy money.

I agree

this is not a race that you can make money on unless neither of them are in the exacta and who would bet that

I would bet Z at 4-5 or 1-1 if they get crazy on Rachel. Maybe not win bet, but single in picks.

She wont be, they will bet her harder then Z.
I have no doubt about that.

hockey2315 02-13-2010 02:15 PM

There's some scary math in this thread.

hoovesupsideyourhead 02-13-2010 02:19 PM

she is also running before that..on march 13 at the fg:zz:

eajinabi 02-13-2010 02:46 PM

Would be interesting if Life is Sweet, Icon Project, Careless Jewel were also in there

icon project retired last october. life is sweet was 8th in her lone try on dirt and careless jewel hasnt recorded a work since the breeders cup.

packerbacker7964 02-13-2010 02:56 PM

Money is good to just run in the top four with every horse getting cash just to run. I wonder when they'll announce whose being given the Golden Ticket to get into the gate of 10?

letswastemoney 02-13-2010 03:45 PM

If there was no other real speed in the race, I don't think it's unreasonable to place a wager with RA on top somehow.

She will win if the fractions are 24 and 48ish (in my opinion RA will win this scenario...but I realize the people who think Zenyatta will mow her down anyway have their points)

Icon Project would beat Rachel at 10f.

So, RA was really only, at best, the fourth best horse to run in the USA last year?

Bigsmc 02-13-2010 06:10 PM

Oh my God.

booner 02-13-2010 06:34 PM

This is getting good.......

You just trying to increase the post count?

What a dumbass post

Hardly surprising, tho, given your board history…

After those last two posts, my brief stint as the Tard Whisperer has come to an end. I've come to realize just how hopeless the situation is.

After a whole slew of PG1985 posts worthy of his form from a couple of years ago, I just couldn't withstand the final combination of punches from both him and Tool Operator.

Have you ever been in a room before with a bunch of tards that were talking (I know you have) and you just felt like all the oxygen in the room was being sucked out?

I'm going Roberto Duran here. No mas.
