No. Kentucky.

The NY bred is a 2008 filly.

Oh, OK, perfect. Of course, best of luck to all!

I noticed Sciacca also has a horse in the 2nd. Maybe he can make it a big day.

Gary makes every day... big.

Migliore is one another horsein this race. What happened there? I do like Chucky Lopez at the Big A though.

As long as he's going to the front.

Mig took the call with the $200,000 Indian Charlie colt from Levine, and Cohen took the ride-back on the $200,000 Malibu Moon from Asmussen on which he was 2nd last time.

Can't say I blame them. Sounds like a tough group...

Interestingly, those in the race that have started seem to be devoid of much speed... The Repole (Levine) and Darley (KMc) firsters look like they have been sharpened, and may be the early speed. Lloydobler has shown he likes to motor in the second half of his works, but isn't absent of early positional speed. Want to hear what Gary thinks of the group.

Heels1989 01-20-2010 07:32 PM

Looking like a big weekend.

KnS at Philly on Friday
moe. at Roseland Ballroom Friday Nite
Lloyd at the Big A on Saturday.

Kasept 01-21-2010 08:35 AM

Looks like a beautiful winter day Saturday in NY with sunny skies and 40 degree temp forecasted... A little warmer (46) in Philly Friday with partly cloudy skies.

SuffolkGirl 01-21-2010 09:59 AM

So, is he really going to run on Sat? Or has Sciacca looked at the group and thinks it is too salty? Making the weekend plans - either heading north to VT or south t0 NY

Hope to see lots DTers on Sat. wish I could make it to Philly on Friday. What a nice weekend that would be!

DRF CLOSER LOOK
Race 4 by Brian Pochman

Rule by Night
His career debut was an encouraging performance behind a runaway winner, and that was after attracting some support in the wagering; 200K purchase goes out for one of the premier win-early outfits in the country, and they've been very live at this meeting.

Ali's Joy
He was beaten by today's rival Rule by Night in his career debut and it looks like he's going to need to take a sharp step forward at second asking in order to get the better of that rival and some promising looking newcomers.

Never Content
This barn can be very live with a horse at second asking and perhaps this colt can prove to be capable of better after a troubled start compromised him in his career debut, and his most recent workout leading into this race looks sharp.

Kens Cape
Sire wins with approximately 14% of his first time starters and this is the first foal from a dam who was winless from four starts; it's interesting to see him shipped north for this and it looks like the screws were tightened in his latest work out.

Arrr Pirates Booty
Sire wins with approximately 17% of his first time starters and dam was unraced; this colt is a 1/2 to stakes winner Yankee Master (4-24, 232K, all wins over turf) and a full to G1 to stakes placed Indian Way (4-6, 264K); like to see Migliore get the assignment and the workouts look solid.

Known Gambler
This colt is out of a G2 stakes placed mare and he's a 1/2 to G3 winner Starforaday (6-30, 298K); however, he's had a couple of chances to show us what he can do and it's going to take a much improved performance in order for him to contend in here.

Lloydobler
Sire wins with approximately 19% of his first time starters and stakes placed dam won 2 of 8 starts for 62K; this colt is a 1/2 to Sky Terrace (4-16, 218K, two wins sprinting); Smarty Jones has been a very strong win-early influence as a sire.

Kind Regards
Sire wins with approximately 11% of his first time starters and dam was multiple group stakes placed overseas while winning 3 of 14 starts for 91K; his workouts look very good, especially that best of 138 move on 12/31.

Ryan's Gift
Like to see the wagering support he attracted in his career debut over a synthetic surface at PID, and perhaps his recent workouts are an indication that he'll be ready for better at second asking while making his first dirt start; note the success that this barn has had returning horses from this type of a layoff.

These are not Finger Lakes pools. You will get a big price.

Princess Doreen 01-21-2010 05:28 PM

Those of you who will be at Aqueduct on Saturday rooting for our boy, please scream extra loud for us here in southeastern Virginia. Although I think we'll be screaming loud enough to hear us up there.

Run fast and safe, LD. Love you.

.
The other thing about this horse (that at least I find interesting) is in his first 2 races he ran on off tracks. Even though he has a high Tomlinson number maybe he didn't appreciate the slop in his first 2 starts. I personally like that angle (should catch a fast track tomorrow) and he could be a price.

pointman 01-22-2010 02:54 PM

Interesting that Leatherbury is shipping that horse up. Does anyone have Leatherbury's numbers shipping into NYRA with a first time starter?

I think you are confusing the 4 with the 5, the 4 Ken's Cape is the Leatherbury FTS, the 5 Known Gambler is a Contessa who had 2 starts on off tracks.

Good luck to you folks tomorrow. I hope you have a great day.

Thanks Point you are right. It was definitely Contessa's horse making his 3rd start.

Good luck & safe trip to Lloydobler!

Kasept 01-23-2010 06:02 AM

LLOYDOBLER'S debut today at Aqueduct marks the start of yet another new chapter for Dee Tee Stables, as our 4th group of partners see their dreams run with the opening of the gates for the 4th race! With this visit to the Big A, we add a 13th venue to the list of racetracks at which we've competed; introduce our third trainer as Gary Sciacca saddles his first runner in the Lime and Royal; start our 5th runner overall...

There should be a nice sized crowd on hand today, and if you're coming to Aqueduct you can look for the group after each of the early races by the doors that lead from the Clubhouse out to the track apron, near the edge of the Paddock. We will assemble at the top of the stairs near there to go down to the Paddock after the featured 3rd race (about 1:30).

Thanks to Chuck of course for making this possible.. Gary for his contribution.. As well as Three Chimneys Farm and our partners in Lloyd, Redboard and Mayflower, the Chapman Family! Enjoy the race wherever you may be watching. Lloyd is facing some very tough customers here but he is a very competitive type that will try hard. Let's just hope for a safe trip for him and CC Lopez!

Hope to see lots of you at Aqueduct later!
