:)

Going to the Bengals game next Sunday, where they will ultimately let us all down.

But still, WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Coach Pants 12-27-2009 06:24 PM

They will beat the bungles. Jets are a scary team in the playoffs.

Are you kidding me? When have the Jets, in this situation previously, playing the final game of the season with a chance to make the playoffs, against a team with nothing to gain, ever lost before?

Most regulars on here know I am a Colts Diehard and with that said -

F those decisions to pull starters

Play to win screw playing in fear

The Indomitable DrugS 12-27-2009 06:44 PM

I was rooting for the Jets...but the Colts had them on the ropes right when they decided to gift wrap an easy win and bring in the Painter to play qb and pull a bunch of starters on both sides of the ball.

The Colts team who played in the final quarter and a half of the game would have been destroyed by the Rams.

Yeah, but here's the thing: We were up 21-15 on our own 20, and the Colts' defense let us drive 80 yards and put the game away. So yeah, facing Painter helped, but the Jets still had to go win it. The Colts' D had no answer for Shonn Greene all day.

They sat down several starters on the Colts D.

You drove 80 yards against mostly backups making about leauge minimum.

Blah blah blah. We didn't have two of our team MVPs. Excuses, excuses, we ain't apologizing for ****.

Go fellate the Pats for beating up on another gutless warm-weather team in December clown.

The Indomitable DrugS 12-27-2009 07:05 PM

You seem kind of bitter about having a gift handed to you.

There is no way the Jets would have won if the Colts didn't pull something like 12 starters in the 3rd quarter.

You're right. The Jets suck and the Pats are mad super awesome. That's the only way you'll be happy, right? I'm out to celebrate this before it comes crashing down next week. I'll tip one up for Jim Caldwell if it makes you feel better.

J,

Make it a double something strong:D

PeteMugg 12-27-2009 09:11 PM

I'm a diehard Colts, this was painful to watch. No undefeated regular season, streak over. I'll be surprised if they make it to the Superbowl and more surprised if they win it. I'm afraid Jim Caldwell's first hurrah will be his last. It will be all downhill after this season.

drugs looks like u are headed to SD

gotta beat houston next week and u get the 3

golfer 12-28-2009 05:23 AM

From the Jets standpoint, Caldwell's decision was great. But, seriously, what's the goal, 16-0, or winning the Super Bowl? He made it clear that the a championship is more important. This is not to say that the two were mutually exclusive, but Caldwell felt going into the playoffs healthy was top priority.

They mentioned some stats on the broadcast, that Indianapolis had the most wins EVER in one decade, yet only one Super Bowl victory to show for it. Both impressive and un-impressive at the same time.

And three times they took a dive to end the regular season ... three times they took an early exit in the playoffs. Honestly, I'd rather see the Colts lose because they were a player or two short due to injury than to lose like this again.

rpncaine 12-28-2009 03:14 PM

Me too, but Polian has never forgotten the injury to Cornielus Bennett that kept him out of the playoffs. He talked about it on his radio show several times. Right or wrong? Doesn't matter, he's stubborn and he's got Jim Isray's ear. Will be interesting to see if his son Chris is the same way.

If that's the case, then next week really doesn't mean a thing. I'd like to see if they have the stones to bench Manning entirely. Might as well end that streak too.

I agree. Obviously he will play to extend the streak, but anything more than one play (most likely a series) is a complete contradiction to pulling him against the Jets. I don't understand what the difference is being 15-0 and pulling your starters and then being 15-1 and letting them play. If you are worried about injuries they should all be in street clothes.

had he left in manning and peyton got hurt, you'd be singing a different tune.

Coach Pants 12-28-2009 06:38 PM

The Colts aren't winning it all. They are the most overrated franchise in NFL history. The media blows Manning on the daily and now some of them are trying to say that the Colts are a great organization and THE Gold Standard.

Uh. No they aren't. They have a HOF quarterback. After he's gone it is going to be Detroit Jr.

rpncaine 12-28-2009 06:40 PM

They could have left the starters in for another series and tried to get the kid some more cushion. Short passes, quick drop stuff and runs to get a field goal. Then the fans would have been more of the mind that hey, thats enough, let the kid and the defense try and hold on to it. I really think there wouldn't have been the outrage and booing at the game if that was the way it went down.

rpncaine 12-28-2009 06:45 PM

Looking forward to seeing you guys at the Luke later in January.

herkhorse 12-28-2009 07:01 PM

I agree with coach, and am I the only one that thinks the Jets win even if manning stays in the game? Nice Av rpncaine.

randallscott35 12-28-2009 08:26 PM

And Chuck's team home for the playoffs.
