Digger looks like lone speed and a probable winner. Too bad you have to get the Roundhouse as his entrymate, the price will be terrible. On his own Digger would probably be 5/1. With the Roundhouse, you're looking at more like 9/5.

Well Pashito the Che is even-money on the morning line coming off of three straight wins with beyers of 102, 109, and 104, but I'm sure they'll be betting The Roundhouse off the board with his last three finishes of 3rd, 4th, and 5th with 89, 80, and 93 beyers. :zz:

VOL JACK 12-24-2009 11:07 AM

Pashito the Che just beat Prince Joshua last out.
Prince Joshua was coming off a 18 and 36 Beyers in his last 2 starts.

Whatever. Pletcher is 56%, this horse has a ton of backclass. Its probably the worst field hes run against on the dirt. Hes part of an entry. Its a short field where they'll probably be betting 2 or 3 horses at most.

Wow, that Lake horse has really improved in his last 3! LOL.

I'm thinking Pashito the Che goes off 4/5 and this entry 2/1.

It's pretty clear that Prince Joshua is a completely different horse on dry tracks.

Yup. That was a brutal beat for those of us who bet him to win at 13/1 last time. Would have been one of the all time best overlays imo.

I think when I mentioned I liked him on Steve's show the day before he was on the other end of the phone writing down "never have him back on the show, he's retarded."

Yes, it was a nasty beat.

LOL, I mentioned it on the Serling Chat (the night before) and Andy replied back that he likes his chances also and he will be betting him. I dont think a lot of people were paying attention to me bringing him up because it was a non NYRA race. I dont think the exacta paid a lot the way it came in, but I wish I backed myself up. That one stung.

Nothing like some good old fashioned winter warriors running on real dirt.

You don't really want to argue about the atrocity that was the recently concluded Hollywood Park meet, right?

Gander is kinda making himself look like a fool here... Whatever, have a good Christmas man. I think the 2 has a shot.

Gander 12-24-2009 11:33 AM

I thought the card would be a bit better, specifically the Gravesend, but it sure beats any races on polyrubber.
I'm betting Digital Joe in the 6th and may take a shot with Digger in the 3rd if the price is somehow inflated.

Digger is not that good.

You're right, I should listen to you. The same guy who said the Native Diver was a 2 horse race between Neko Bay and Square Eddie.

Im pretty sure the track played all speed that day, and IM 100% I am not the only one around here who felt that way.

Then in that case, wouldnt have Mast Track been the logical bet? He has no other way to run then on the front end. I'll give you a free pass because its Christmas and polytrack racing is awful in general...but that analysis was awful dude. And your justification (above) makes it even worse.

Was it worst then you talking up Digger when hes clearly the 3rd best option in here?

Considering the race hasnt gone off yet, I like my chances better than your Square Eddie-Neko Bay prophecy. And arent you the one who said flat out "Kodiak Kowboy stinks" when discussing the Cigar Mile? Good one there.

Hey NT, I forgot Prince Joshua is running on Saturday at Calder. Any thoughts on his chances? If he breaks like he did last time (he pretty much is forced to be sent from the rail) he could prove tough, no?

The rail kind of forces the jockey's hand but I'm not sure he necessarily needs the lead. He's worth inclusion in the Pick 4.

All I know about the rest of the field is that if Biker Boy wins, I lose. I think he's a complete mediocrity who put up one smokescreen allowance win after another. I want no part of him.

I might try to be clever with Dream Maestro on the cutback as well and I'll use the juice trio of Ness-Wolfson squared. So, I guess I'm going deep since I haven't even mentioned This Ones For Phil.

I have been beaten down. I am actually glad to see a race I think Naughty New Yorker can win.:wf

Biker Boy and Martys 2 are clearly the ones to beat, IMO.

Why is Biker Boy better than This Ones for Phil? And why is You and I Forever a likely winner of this race, because he beat up a horrible field going 7/8ths on this track in July? He is beginning to look washed up, which is usually when Marty's horses rebound but I just don't see this as a race where you can say one particular horse "is clearly the one to beat."

Did you simply look at the entries? Cause I'd love to know how you came to that conclusion using any type of past performance information.

HA! 2nd to a 1-4 horse! Glad you guys cashed on my coattails! But he should retire now, even your mother probably knows he's no LavaMan.
