Lava Man - 8/5 Fav
Next on the morning line at 3-1 is the 2005 Kentucky Derby (gr. I) winner and hero of the recent San Diego Handicap (gr. II) Giacomo. Magnum is 5-1; Perfect Drift, 6-1; Super Frolic, 8-1; Good Reward, 10-1; Preachinatthebar, 12-1, and Top This and That, 20-1.

You like a horse who couldnt hold off Giacomo? How is he ever going to get in front of Lava Man at any point in this race? I dont see it and think hes the worse bet on the board. I dont care what his odds are. I have a strong feeling this horse finishes last in this field.

I don't think he has a legit shot in this field (I like Perfect Drift here), but I love the horse nonetheless. I almost hope he blows by everyone in this field just so I can bring this topic up to rub in your face. (But, it probably won't happen.) :p |
All/ Drift/ All
or All/ All/ Drift????? |

I like Magnum in here. I dont see anyone else as being fast enough to beat lava man.

Doesn't look like a very good betting race to me. Lava man will be 4/5 or so and justafiably so....
Maybe work out some tri's. |
Randall said it on a different thread, but I agree with him...Good Reward.
I'm betting against LM. PD might "hang" on for 3rd. |

I think Giacomo may well be the danger here! Hard to go against Lava Man but if he's beaten, I think Giacomo could be the one! We should know after the half! |

It happened last year in this race. Although his HGC race was very gutty and he had a poor start, it may be a signal that he is following the pattern he did last year at this time. I love the Lava Man, but I sure won't bet him at odds on. He is not in LA. |
shug is going all the way to del mar, which is completely out of character for him. good reward might be worth a look or two.
go lava man. |

You don't have a heart if you aren't rooting for Lava Man ... an honest, hard-hitting, professional race horse.
Giacomo at 3-1 is the biggest sucker bet in history. Good Reward is the best value at 10-1 or more. |
Somebody sell me on Good Reward
Looks Ok on paper, but his last win was over such juggernauts as Artie Shiller and Relaxed Gesture (who both were recently embarassed chalks). I'm really just comming around to paying more attention to horses, but I think "P Diddy" has a good chance. He ran a pretty solid race against Suave (who I think would mop all these). Maybe he's due. Lava Man looks to be the best, but if you are trying to beat him, why not Perfect Drift?

... and today you gave us a $33.00 exacta ... this will really shut up the troglodytes now ... won't it?" Well, young man ... I'm afraid it won't. You see ... troglodytes are the way they are because ... well ... because they're ignorant and stupid ... and nothing shuts up people who are so stupid that they don't know how stupid they are. Do you understand that, son? "Well ... kind of, Mr. Brooklynite ... I think I do. Will you be giving us any more winners, sir?" Hmmm ... I might ... and then again ... I might not. You'll just have to keep reading all my posts to find out. "Oh, thank you, Mr. Brooklynite ... I always do that ... everybody does!" |

just curious....where on this thread does it say that you gave us the exacta?? "Good Reward is the best value at 10-1 or more" does not constitute you giving us the exacta. and Pine Island??? LOL....she wasn't even money for nothing yesterday. You and 10 million other people thought she was the clear winner.... Come on B.B., give us a break |

it's in the lava man on top thread. |

Even if you spell it out in baby talk ... they still won't get it. |

Evidently someone of your high intelligence doesn't understand the meaning of giving out an exacta. So what you are saying is that anyone can say "this horse is great value at 10-1 or higher" and if he finishes out the exacta everyone should bow down and kiss their ass??? You gotta do better than that.....son. |
