Dutrow is suspended again? I guess I missed that one. And is the official term for the fields of the Cigar and Remsen "small" or is it "compact." I can't remember which word means terrible betting race.

Sightseek 11-27-2009 01:08 PM

Buddy's Saint ran a crazy race in the Nashua.

In a DRF article, Dutrow said he was really excited about Unprecedented who debuts in the 2nd race on Saturday.

:$: :$: :$: And even though Protesting came in second I am still convinced she is the best 2yo filly in training in the country.

One of the more embarrassing redboards in the history of the internet.

Sort of like Al Khali in the derby and Ramon's horse a little in the last.

Is it her 0-fer record on dirt that makes you feel that way?

I was wondering the same thing. If she ever accomplishes anything in her career - and that's a big if - it'll be on synth.

It's not like Shug McGaughey ever starts horses that get bet heavily and disappoint too, right?

Im leaning on 1,6... Playing Black Bear to win, but Al Khali would be fine.

what do you expect. people complain before they even see the odds. "oh thats a terrible betting race".. meanwhile flashing , who is clearly in the best form goes off third choice behind stardom bound......thats a no brainer. oh yeah, it was a bad betting race. kodiak kowboy was 3 to 1 in a five entry race...again...bad betting race....lol....then the two together pay 70 bucks....ok i was wrong ....it was a bad betting race ....lol

So let me get this straight, moneybags. You are on here bragging to the world how smart you are for stealing that 3-1 out from underneath everyone? Nobody on here complained about the Gazelle, which was clearly a decent betting race with an easy toss like SB. Amazing. Keep playing, PLEASE.

thats not the point. the point is people bitch before they even see odds on the board. thats why i said what i said. its not bragging(well maybe it was, sorry). i wait to see where the money goes to decide if its a bad bet. which is valid handicapping. to complain days ahead of the race is crazy because the odds are a pari mutual. people vote with their money. you won't see value til the moneys down . thats the point. by the way i've been playing for over thirty years and winning. not many can say that. if someone did not come on here crapping on the races before they went off, i would not of written that ! the fact is, in big races, the "hyped" horses get overbet. both of those races were proof of it! it was not a major score but i saw it as easy pickings when the value was weighed in a short field. if you think i don't know what i'm doing fine. judge the races days ahead of the "REAL" odds and see how far it gets you. i feel denagrating a race way ahead of time is missing opportunities.

cakes44 11-30-2009 10:03 AM

So how did the Remsen go for you?

Her record is now 4-1-1-2. The only reason she lost Saturday is because the pedal got put to the metal about 3/5ths of a second too late and that was not her fault.

Castro was all over her very early on. She didn't really respond at first, but when she did she was on the wrong lead and hung like the mediocrity that she is. She had absolutely no excuse.

Maybe it was the 1:15 pace, a full 2 seconds slower than the Remson...not many fillies are going to overcome that scenario.
