This series is over

Phils win

SCUDSBROTHER 10-07-2009 03:12 PM

Seems like Kershaw put them in a freeze. That's what the Dodger hitters also do (one really good effort by an opposing pitcher, and their confidence at the plate is gone.)

SCUDSBROTHER 10-07-2009 03:20 PM

He should get Werth off that plate.

SCUDSBROTHER 10-07-2009 03:22 PM

See. Too comfortable. Can't let Werth just stand up there like that. Have to knock him down. He's a bully. Got to throw in, or ya got no chance.

SCUDSBROTHER 10-07-2009 03:35 PM

Those houses on a lake, or a septic pond? Water is black as a Rockies Jersey.

I hope so but I'm going to go with my theory from last year, and that is I am making no predictions for any game or any series and I'm just gonna root my ass off for the Phils.. but I wont put myself in a position to mush.

Last year I wouldnt even watch the series between Philly and LA because the only game I tried to watch, the Phils lost so I didnt want to jinx them by watching the games.

I'm very supersticious when it comes to baseball, but not other sports.

The one game in that series you watched was the one Jamie Moyer started?

you know you're bullpen sucks when...

blanton is a bulldog though.. if he can give us some scoreless innings maybe our offense will join the game.

One thing is for sure, it aint over til its over with this team.

SCUDSBROTHER 10-08-2009 03:31 PM

Blanton's a pretty reliable post season starter. Doubtful that he would give up more than 3 runs through 5 innings. He this lacking in confidence in his pen?

SCUDSBROTHER 10-08-2009 03:42 PM

Waited too long to get Cooke out. That must be some stupid respect crap. The pitch before that (to RW) was way hi garbage, too.

tired pen

SCUDSBROTHER 10-08-2009 03:52 PM

Rocks have been terrific at home, and mediocre on the road. Wouldn't shock me if the Rocks got it back to Philly, and then lose.

rocks could win today and then win two in colorado and then i just have the eagles.

But you guys have to understand, eventhough we got a WS last year.. I'm still a Philly fan and have grown to expect the worst.

Come on Phillies!!

Antitrust32 10-08-2009 03:58 PM

ugh. well its 5 now so I'm gonna go watch the rest at home on tv instead of ESPN gamecast

go phillies!

SCUDSBROTHER 10-08-2009 03:59 PM

Erythropoietin for the Rocks.

SCUDSBROTHER 10-08-2009 04:10 PM

That could of gone out (if Dexter wasn't so tight.)

SCUDSBROTHER 10-08-2009 04:16 PM

Wow, do they have HK's false teeth in a jar? No underwear?

Just his baby blue suit.

Not sure what, or if, Chuckles is thinking about his playoff rotation. Some peculiar moves thus far.

Coming into the game today, I knew it was the time to bet against the Phils. Not sure what the line was, but im guessin it had to be up there for the sheer fact of Cook being 1-5 against the Phils, and Hamels having the hill. He just isnt the same pitcher as he was in the post-season last year. Inflated odds for sure. Then he goes on a yittle rant about pitching at 2:30 instead of 1 or 7. (ever here his voice? sounds like someone has his balls in a vice grip) He better get his stuff straightened away and take a page out of Lee's book. GO STRAIGHT at the hitters and make them swing the bat. This team can not afford to have him pitching like Colette throughout the post, the turkey is roasted if he does.

All the arrows were pointing to back the Rockies monetarily today. the only thing I was excited about today was having Torrealba behind the plate again. He can't throw people out for nothing, at least thats what it feels like. Singles turn into automatic doubles with him. Lee and HOward, although the latter has improved his base running, were able to move up on him. Don't you know, that he goes yard today though?

Big game tonight SCUDS.

Congrats on the sweep.

Will admit I chewed off every bit of fingernail I could find when Lidge came in.

You had enough energy at 2am to chew off your fingernails?

I almost chewed off my dogs fingernails I was so nervous about Lidge.

And honestly I couldnt fall asleep right after the game because of the nervous energy Lidge gives me.

BUT.. I enjoyed the 10pm starting time SO MUCH MORE than the 2:37PM starting times of last week.

SCUDSBROTHER 10-12-2009 02:57 PM

You won't have Billingsley to help you this time. You know how we are. A few breaks don't go our way etc., and we'll stop hitting. You know how to beat us, but Billygirl ain't gunna be allowed to just give you 2 games going in.

true, and we have Cliff Lee instead of Jamie Moyer. But we also have "Keep the lights on" Lidge.

But we must get through the next game (or two) before these discussions can mean anything.

Go Phillies!

Cannon Shell 10-12-2009 06:43 PM

Lee is freakin tough

SCUDSBROTHER 10-12-2009 07:38 PM

Phillies and Yanks can't both win what they want (uplifting fact.)
