Baffert has a colt named Bulldogger that can really run. He's on the shelf right now with shins but I am expecting big things from him when he returns.

Maker, has a Ghostzapper turf horse that is ok. I think Baffert has a bunch.
Dublin is going to be ok, I think Bulls and Bears is really good.

That Maker horse is a turf horse...he's not much on the dirt which is the surface that Winslow Homer ran on, as well as the fact that the highly regarded On Vacation has yet to win, who was supposed to be something good that Winslow Homer beat.

There is little chance that Dublin makes it through the winter/spring intact

His dirt race was probably better than his turf race.

I loved his dirt race. Arguably the best performance by a 2yo male on dirt all meet .. and he was way better than the winner.

Thanks for the list. :)

Just checking the pedigrees of some of these out and noticed that Bulldogger's got Gun Bow in there. Not used to seeing that all over the place. Interesting. Wow Bridgetown's 2nd dam is a full to Strike the Gold.

Confused about One Dark Night. There's a One Dark Knight but it's a 2008 colt by Tribal Rule.

Dark Knight is a MDO maiden for Zito, he moved late to run second to Bulldogger at Toga.

Ah thanks. By Medaglia D'Oro out of Drifa by Tabasco Cat. Siblings are both winners, one's a filly by Pleasantly Perfect called Mindy Sue and she's stakes placed in the Instant Racing Stakes. I knew I'd heard of that filly somewhere, turns out it's because she was 2nd by 4 3/4 lengths to Payton D'Oro there.

SCUDSBROTHER 10-05-2009 10:19 PM

Sidney's Candy was supposed to run at Anita. He still saying it(shin) ain't that bad?

miraja2 10-07-2009 12:01 PM

This isn't an under-the-radar horse or anything, but I do think Dixie Band could be a pretty good 3yo, especially at 8.5f+, although I think I was more impressed with his 2yo efforts than most were.

tjfla 10-07-2009 05:41 PM

Ya love Dublin but think either he can't hold up or gets bought and is overseas
