Jockey Norberto Arroyo Jr. was arrested Sunday
I wondered what happened to him yesterday! He must have had a couple of bucks on Prince Dubai on Saturday!

its an epidemic that celebrities and althletes fall into daily. i can almost understand people getting into alcohol and drugs when theres no hope. but these people are blessed with talent and careers that most of us can just dream about. heres a guy that COULD be at the top of his game, hes a pretty damn good rider. the only thing thats been standing in his way, IS HIMSELF!

He should have told the cop his usual rides don't come with seat belts.

Look at the head-on view of the last race of the Oak Tree Meet he rode out here. I mean he's out to do damage to another jock right there. Maybe he was trying to knock down Nakatani's horse. When someone simply ignores the presence of another horse n' jockey, you have to really take a hard look at what could possibly make them act that way. In that case, he just left town. I think it was probably his last race out here.

That is bad news. I hoped he was getting it back together. He was getting decent rides, and making the most of them. I find it hard to believe he wasn't using also. That stuff gets a vise grip on people, and takes over. Sucks. N.Y.S. is a bad place to get caught with that much toot with intent to sell. Not that there's a good place. If Gomez can come back there's hope for anyone. Valenzuela still riding in LA.?

Thats more than enough for it to be intent to distribute. I think under 5 grams is called simple possession, and anything over is intent to distribute. He'd have to have one crazy good lawyer not to do time. NY state is not the place you want this to happen. Especially if you have a prior record. I think hes got more to worry about than not being a jockey anymore.

i agree with you but it also depends on how many times he's been arrested in the past.. if this is a multiple time he's been arrested, he may get some time. |

Send him on down here......he could be shoulder to shoulder in the gate with some of the finest..PVal, Kirk Leblanc, and last but certainly not least the electrician Billy Patin.

He'll be doing time if the prosecutors present evidence of his riding.

I heard that he was stopped at 8 AM on Sunday morning for a seat belt violation. Sounds like the police may have been tipped.
|
or he was just stupid and had it out..doing a blast before work..

Coke is automatic jail time in NY, of course if your father is a State Trooper or the d.a.r.e. officer in town for 20years, you get your name in the paper one time and it is never heard about again. |
Is that why you moved?
