Just as Well continues to improve and could easily be 20-1.
I agree about the 2, its a really good story.

I need somebody to fill us in on the quality of these Euros.

Here is a link to the pre-entry PPs.

http://www.arlingtonpark.com/sites/a...preentry_0.pdf

I'm about the 947th person you should ask about European racing but I know some here have made remarks about Cima de Triomphe. The race Gloria de Campeao won in Singapore is also very, very good.

Cima De Triomphe - good, the Eclipse in which he was 4th is probably the best race run anywhere on earth this year. Trip is fine, ground will be fine.

Eclipse run - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7Ur9CVtQOA

Gloria De Campeao - Decent horse who seemed to take a huge step up when beating an unlucky Presvis in Singapore. He seemed to get the run of the race there sitting just off the pace..
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PSXXEzvKEhA

Stostfold - An improving 6yo, only a length behind Cima De Triomphe in a G3 at Sandown in May and since then won a G3 in France. Could be the value play..

will have more once i have a stronger look at the form

Ask for Brock and he will appear.

Brock is, of course, awesome, and I'll have some other comments for you later this week after I talk to some of the Euros at Arlington.

First impressions I've heard from them is that Cima and Gloria are both big players.....god, this could go so many ways. Should be a great race.

CSC 08-04-2009 04:23 PM

Just a note Sea the Stars is probably the top turf horse in Europe right now, so a 4th though not impressive on paper was in truth impressive given who the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers the Coral Eclispe yielded this yr.

Will the entire card be out tomorrow ?

Scav 08-04-2009 05:01 PM

Overnight will be up probably around 2pm. Tomorrow will be the only day they don't have problems filling races

I personally think that Presious Passion has no chance with Recapturetheglory on the outside of him. Gomez will press PP the whole time. And PP might be better at a longer distance.

As long as Einstein breaks with Presious Passion, he is going to get an amazing trip on the rail

Take this with a grain of salt, as last year Winchester had no chance at all, only to see this bozo put $50WP on the f'n horse :)

brockguy 08-04-2009 05:09 PM

I do know that Mad About You will explode going back up to 10f. Weld had surprised me big time with his campaigning of her this year, but she is sitting on a huge race..

Didn't she just win a big race over there somewhere?

Good time to do it, he hasn't been close to winning a race since.

she hasnt been doing that well over here this year. She was G1 placed last year over 8 and 10 last year, but is only 1 for 5, all in G3 races this year over 7f or a mile in terrible ground losing to horrible horses.

1 Alnadana (IRE) Soumillon C 123

I find it interesting the Jock would come overseas to ride essentially what is a Gr 3 filly in Europe in the Bev D, ya think he like his chances. I also find Points of Grace abit interesting though that maybe abit of a pipe dream.

I didn't realize they ran Group 3's in Europe for $750K.

I understand what he is saying and it makes sense.

She won't be anywhere near her ML, she is all the talk around here right now

hockey2315 08-06-2009 12:15 AM

I don't really understand the argument. Obviously Soumillon is going to come over to ride in a race like the Beverly D. if he thinks the horse has any kind of shot. You don't really need to consider who's riding the horse to realize she's a contender, so who cares? Plus she's 4-1.

Really I will have to go back and take a look, the names she is racing against are not too familiar though I am not as efficient as Miss Stormcat is, regardless these are the same Zarkava connections and we've seen gr. 3 horses over there come here and be more than competitive in the past, they probably want a gr 1 success and the Bev D they probably thought was their best chance, there are no Stacelita's in here.

RockHardTen1985 08-06-2009 12:44 AM

Dynaforce is dangerous... Watch her last 2 trips, both wide with no cover.

That Aga Khan horse doesn't look impressive to me! Her races aren't much, but Ill be reading the form on the flight over and I'm sure I'll have a reason to like her by the time I arrive!! Any guesses on what Mad About You will be sent off at? I think she'll love the States!

LOLZ.

Unless we magically time warp back to 2008 halfway down the backstretch, she'll be lucky to finish 4th. Wide trip is not exactly an excuse in the Modesty....considering it produced the easiest winner of the Preview races.

cakes44 08-06-2009 09:41 AM

Agree 100% on Dynaforce. She's just not much horse, regardless of trip. The fact that she's a G1 winner is amazing.

I realize she has sucked, but even with Mott/Kent she will still be a price. I think she is worth using in the pick 3, to me it's a spread race.
