ateamstupid 05-18-2009 06:41 PM

Cavs in 3.

cowgirlintexas 05-18-2009 06:44 PM

One interesting side show will be Lebron meeting
Dwight Howard at the rim. Howard is one guy
that can go up and get him. Of course Howard can
also get faked out of his pants.

Howard is a sissy who doesn't want to do anything but swat shots out of bounds and dunk with no one guarding him. I'm not even a LeBron fan, but he'd murder Howard. The first time he dunks on him will be the last because Howard will stop challenging him.

yes, it all boils down to the prefix to Cavaliers. It still says "Cleveland". That is a massive burden to overcome regardless of how good they may be. Orlando matches up better against Cleveland better than anyone in the league other than perhaps LA. I would have much preferred to play the Garnett and Powe-less Celtics.

No he wont.
He will challenge the wrong shots
and foul out, if anything.

Howard is more soft headed than soft
imo.

Honey, you have to realize who they are playing.

If they play like they did against the Celtics they will be swept in 4 games.

Told you. Cleveland can't play that team. Just because it's the Eastern Conference finals doesn't mean that magically they can match up with them. They got drilled both games in Orlando this year and won a nail biter in Cleveland. Tonight was another nail bighter in Cleveland and they didn't get lucky this time. That's all it takes for Orlando to win the series. No way will Cleveland win a game in Orlando. Magic in 6.

I've been following Cleveland sports for 37 years very closely. Ok...so they get by this series...big deal they then lose the next one. It's all moot.

I hope Cleveland loses too. I've seen no championships in the city in 43 years of living. I really deserve to see none. So yeah, I really hope they lose. I really know they'll win game 2?? LIke I knew they'd win game 1?? Is that how it works?

dalakhani 05-20-2009 11:05 PM

in all fairness, that game could have gone either way. Cleveland had the lead with 14 seconds left. Lewis hits a big shot, West misses a shot he hit 1 minute earlier and now we are talking about cleveland winning A GAME on the road.

It doesn't matter...even if they get by this series...there is a next series.

You really don't understand. IF Cleveland gets to the finals, they could be up 3 games to none with a 20 point lead going into the 4th quarter of game 4. I would not be confident they could win the series. Cleveland's last game of this season will be a loss. I don't care where or when.

Scrambler, i hope you are right. It may not be this year, but number 23 will win championships. He is a force the likes of which the nba has not seen.

You sound just like a Philly fan... Its really hard but when you get there (which you will) its just so great.

And I also eat a big slice of crow for saying Cavs will sweep and O-town has no shot.

Howard acts like a baby though. And I do agree a little with A-team that the refs root for the Cavs.

You know how many titles the city of PHiladelphia has won in my lifetime?? (5 I think??) infinitely more than Cleveland. My God, the Phillies themselves have 2 alone!! Philly fans have gone to Everrest the last 40 plus years multiple times. Don't compare any city's fans to Cleveland fans. It ain't the same.

Everyone just stop with the referee stuff...just stop. Please. So if the Cavs magically somehow beat the Magic and Lakers/Nuggets, I'm going to hear how it was only because David Stern handed it to them because LeBron needed to win the title. Stop it everyone, please.

Hey you said your lifetime... and in my lifetime it was the same thing until last year...

well, miracles happen I guess! Look at my first post on the NBA playoffs. I stated unequivacally that the Garnett injury was the absolute worst thing to happen to the Cavs as this would allow the Magic to beat the Celtics (of course the Garnett injury was worse for the Celtics!!)...which is why I went with a Magic/Lakers final. The Magic counting last night have won 9 of the last 12 meetings with Cleveland. That doesn't happen by accident. There is just a matchup issue for Cleveland with them. I actually didn't pick the Magic because of the Cleveland never wins thing...I watched two of the three games they played this year. The Magic mauled them the two I saw, and the third in Cleveland was tight the whole way and Cleveland pulled it out late...similar to last night but Orlando pulled it out. Orlando has arguably outplayed them 4 of 4 games this year and as I said won 9 of the last 12 between the two. That is enough of a sample for me to say Cleveland has some issues with that team. The Cleveland never wins thing doesn't mean a thing in today's matchups, it just adds to the story for me personally!!

And even wronger on this.

Howard proved that Perkins was just a bad matchup for him because of his strength. Perk's one of the NBA's dozen or so strongest players, and against the average center, Howard can dominate offensively and defensively. It's really about to be do or die time for Andrew Bynum to see if he's a legitimate starting center based on what he can do against Howard.

Orlando is a really good team, and doesn't take nights off like the Lakers do. They also have enough athletic wings to bother Kobe and Gasol will turtle up again if he can't get his way. Van Gundy is nuts if he puts Howard on anybody but Gasol if he's not in foul trouble. Everyone's going to pick L.A. like they did last year, but this Magic team has proven itself over and over in these playoffs.

ateamstupid 05-31-2009 02:04 AM

By the way, specially for The Bid:

About sums up this guy's worth.

gales0678 06-01-2009 01:57 PM

ok - joey , let's here what he specifically did too cost them this series???

remember it wasn't like they had dominated Orlando during the regular season
