The 'super' in the Derby is a fantastic play given the above. Last year the Super paid $29k per $1, with the Derby favorite, the wise guy horse, and two 10/1 (I think, can't remember exact odds, Drugs will complete that for me). And you had to think that BB was a major play in the top slot so that number amazes me. |

Last year you had Tale of Ekati 4th at 37-1, which helped the payoff immensely. NT |

Obviously $1080 is steep, but $108 isn't, I thought they offered the dime supers last year. |

so all the guys that wear the numbers off the key pads can wait together until 10 cent superfecta violence ensues. Canes, wheelchairs, and prostetic legs will be the weapons of choice. |

the guys who go up there and freestyle kill you |

written down. He must have a giant erasable white board when he goes to Arlington. Thinks he is the UPS guy. If a scratch occurs... does one kill themselves? To get that many numbers in you gotta start punching a week before they enter the gate. Computers at home are good things. |

I have noticed at least at California tracks the trifecta and superfecta payouts have been diminishing when I'm paying attention. In fact it's been a long time since I played trifectas on "every day" races in NorCal, since the "big score" opportunity is nowhere what it once was. I usually do play Supers on Triple Crown races as a lottery ticket type fun wager. I usually play between $200 and $450 or so, and have had little success to date. I have cashed a couple, but not more than $600 as I recall in the last 7 or 8 years. My old days at the South Florida dog tracks I used to be a master of four digit super and tri payoffs. Really. I do like the Scavs strategy with the $108 total wager. In a twelve horse field, of course. Thanks for sharing. I'll probably take that angle if available for the Triple Crown races this year. |
I read somewhere there's no dime super this year. can't remember where.
