Thanks for the heads up Scuds.. I try to watch it every year...Always fun. My favorite class is the working dogs.. Love Boarder Collies. :)

Remember a few years back that one dog got lost? I wonder if they ever found it...It was like a favorite to win it too...

Danzig 02-07-2009 03:13 PM

i watch every year too. always root against the frou-frou dogs.

Kasept 02-07-2009 03:45 PM

Always a hit on DT...

2MinsToPost 02-07-2009 04:00 PM

I always dreamed of me and my Cocker Spaniel giving this show a try. Envision this -

and here is Curt with Brandi, a Cocker Spaniel. Oh wait, we need a clean up as it seems Brandi has done a number one. Oh wait, Brandi has done a number two and is turning circles.

you have to be kidding. wrestling was never wrestling, it's always been fake-a soap opera for guys.
dog show comes on once a year, i doubt it would prove fatal to miss one nights rasslin.

Danzig 02-07-2009 09:18 PM

Either.....owned two of them (both were "mutts" though :D ) Scotty lived to be 17 & Kasi 14, truly loyal dogs :)

The smartest dog I've ever had was a Springer Spaniel mix.

I prefer big happy dogs

i always like the descriptions, and the warnings that 'this is NOT an apartment dog' when they talk about some of the breeds-jack russell terriers for instance.

I think he was retired, it was the first time ever a beagle won best in show.

good looking dog bigs. i have a rat terrier, i don't even think they're a recognized breed. if i wrote the description of the breed, it would certainly include the words neurotic and guilt complex.

lol alydar...i had a dog i named sheba in honor of alysheba. had a sham once too for that matter. female german shepherd...

I saw Rat Terriers on Dogs 101. They have races to the rat scent through little tunnels. Pretty interesting.

Aly enjoys pointing at lizards and squirrels.

Oh you never witnessed the Iron Sheik in action did you.
Thats when wrestling was pure pageantry.
The camel clutch given on a big white boy
with overalls while the Sheik would yell, "a dirty Mexican..."

And be thankful for that :) The Border Collie folks fought AKC recognition hard, but lost. Three generations, and show Border Collies have completely different looks and temperment than real Border Collies.

Fortunately, there remains thousands of "real" Border Collies, and only a few hundred "show" types.

dellinger63 02-08-2009 08:38 PM

Locally we had Pepper Gomez 'man with the iron stomach'. Guys would hit him in his pot belly and break their hands LOL. On another note I dated a girl from Denton TX who's family had a ranch near the Von Erichs (sp) sad story but they threw amazing cookout parties. Felt like I was in a scene from Dallas.
