Holy Crap......

6 years ago? Talk about turing a blind eye MLB, if true where's that suspension been? Guess it's not that shocking.

question on the espn home page asked if you changed your thinking on a-rod after hearing the news...

Judging from the replies to this thread, this news isn't shocking.

Six year coma to be exact, old story for slow sports weekend. My opinion of him didn't change either way.

Yeah, and I'm sure David Ortiz went from 175 lbs. in Minnesota to 250 lbs. in Boston with protein shakes.

I didnt know there was a fat steroid? Ortiz hasn't been under 220 since 6th grade.

Yeah, he definitely looks 220 here.

Like I said, he must be taking the fat steroid because most of the weight gain has been right in the middle. As a matter of fact you could take pics of me 10 years ago and now and me and ortiz have gained approx the same amt of weight in the same place. And my steroids are only the ones given to the chickens that became future wings.

Cannon Shell 02-08-2009 12:13 AM

He may very well have taken Steroids as Manny and Vlad also. Steroids are huge in the DR. But he unlike those guys Ortiz has gotten fat while the others have just gotten bigger.

Nah, his arms and legs got bigger too. Look at his arms in the pic I posted compared to in the pic you posted. That's not fat.

King Glorious 02-08-2009 01:26 AM

Count me as surprised. I didn't think he was taking them. My opinion of him doesn't change either way.

golfer 02-08-2009 09:53 AM

As far as I can remember, there has only been one player to stand up against steriods, and his name is Chad Curtis. EVERYONE else who has accomplished anything special is a suspect. And it's the players (and their labor association's) own fault.

horseofcourse 02-08-2009 10:10 AM

There really is nothing better on a Sunday morning than an in depth analysis of David Ortiz' body!

Danzig 02-08-2009 10:16 AM

big belly is probably from beer. thank goodness that's legal.

timmgirvan 02-08-2009 12:12 PM

I was actually surprized by this....because he'd never tested positive before or since. Now comes info that a union official might have been tipping Arod
on when a test was coming?? In 2007, Arod had a chance to 'come clean' in an interview with Couric..and he lied. Now, he'll have to live with the repercussions. And MLB has another black eye!

pgardn 02-08-2009 07:14 PM

I noticed the ny papers already naming him.
Putting the names together really does not flow.

Aroid Roidriguez.

Got to do better than this.

Bigsmc 02-09-2009 04:33 AM

I don't see how you can not put A-Rod in the HOF and put anyone from this era in as long as there are 103 names unreleased. Either release all their names and judge them accordingly or don't single A-Rod out cause his name is one of the 104 that came out. I'd love it if Griffey's name was on there. Jeter too but I think he only juiced in '99 before signing the big contract.

Wow, no wonder New York is so crazy. Look at that paper. "Hasidic Jew in Kiddie Porn Case".....Rhiana has bite marks from Chris Brown(allegedly.) Should call that paper the "Freak Sheet." The pastel of the Hasidic Jew looks pretty funny compared to the facebook photo he had up.

Well I hope they release the other 103 names... but I dont think there is anyway he gets into the hall now. Clemens, Bonds, McGuire (sp) etc... now A-hole joins the list.

All four will get in eventually, might take a long time though. Guys like Palmeiro and Tejada are the ones that might never get in but eventually the HOF is going to want their superstars in the HOF, especially when the biggest transgression those superstars had was to use something that wasn't even banned when they were linked to it.
