judging by the first race, it could be a good day for the closers.

That race was loaded with speed.

Wait and see approach.

I agree though yesterday seemed to favor closers more early than late.

The inner track has been playing incredibly fair for a few weeks now. There were some on the pace winners yesterday, but they mostly towered over their rivals, i.e. Way to Karakorum in the 6th.

This is never the beginning to a worthwhile handicapping angle.

FYI to Aquaduct players. Live racing for tomorrow has been cancelled, due to the expected frigid temps for the area

Aqueduct calls off Friday card

OZONE PARK, N.Y. - With a forecast that calls for wind chills near or below zero, New York Racing Association officials have canceled Friday's Aqueduct card.

Aqueduct will be open Friday for simulcasting. Admission and parking will be free.

Racing will resume Saturday with a nine-race card that includes the $65,000 Evening Attire Stakes.

Friday's cancellation will be the first of inner track meet, which began on Dec. 3.

Everybody watch the AQU 7th just now? What an odd way of going Say Toba Sandy has.. Never noticed it in her prior races, but has the craziest choppy, hop-skip action up front. Looks like she would relish grass, and indeed her career best Beyer came on the lawn.
