what's the usual timing for this contest? Today's races were up on the Santa Anita site yesterday, but when I logged in just now, it says "Sorry, but there are no program entries for Sun, January 18th. Please check back later to make your selection!" What about Sat Jan 17?!

Do they take them down overnight? It's not impossible that I made a selection for today already. (can't remember). Is there a way to check to see if you made a selection?

Dunbar, just registered and got the same message that you did. I'll keep trying.

I put my pick in last night, but went in to see if it allowed me to change it (which I wouldn't do) to see if that worked. Must be a database problem with their computer system. If they don't fix it, they'll probably postpone the contest a day or 2 (at least that's what I've seen in the past).
Keep trying to enter it, as entries are supposed to be taken until 12:30 their time.

Hey John, I had registered this morning, but I found no contest races on the website myself, hope they fix it soon.:mad:

keep checking and I'd also send them an e-mail (contact link at bottom of the website). That way they have a record of you trying to put in a pick.

that was the other one I was considering. Like the ML odds on too.

Now they've postponed the start until tomorrow, Sunday:

"Because of a technical problem that was not resolved until 9:50 am (pst), some racing fans were unable to access the entries for the first day of SHOWVIVOR (Saturday, January 17). Therefore, SHOWVIVOR will officially begin with Sunday's card (January 18) and everyone who is entered is still alive. "

They will take new registrants until tomorrow, too.

Hype looks like the play, and I probably over analyzed this but others well bred for the turf may surprise and Hype closing at a mile looks vulnerable to me.

Going with #1 - Kris Silver in Race 2, itm 9 of 14 on the Turf and 5 of 9 at a mile on the lawn, looks like lone speed and won twice off the layoff.
