I'll be missing my first Preakness in five years this year. I dig the logo though.

I like it well enough, but the "A Magna Entertainment Experience" part makes me a bit queasy.

Hey does anybody wanna introduce them to the London Olympics people? Cuz the logo I remember seeing from that was like someone saw the original and tried to graffiti over it.

Nice logo. Another good choice would have been an artist's rendition of the Sunday Silence/Easy Goer duel in 1989, arguably the most famous Preakness in recent times.

Besides, Afleet Alex's near stumble and subsequent win, as impressive as that was, wouldn't make a very good logo.

Rumor has it the other finalist for the 2009 Preakness logo featured individuals attempting the 2008 running of the urinals.

its literally one of the funniest things i've ever seen, everyone needs to see a good urinal roof race before they die, but don't stand to close, you might catch a little friendly fire

That last picture makes me chuckle. My seats this year were directly across from the port-o-lets - strategically placed in order to put a hault to the urinal runnings of 2006 and 2007 - and to see those guys try to make the leap from one block of johns to the other was some of the greatest infield comedy I've ever seen. Not quite as funny is the youtube video you'll find of some guy going around and mashing guys in the head with full beer cans.

either that, or money for 2010, with plane tix to GP, since he wanted to move the race there.
