Late P4 at CD

Hello Steve,

Is the #9 in the 3rd leg a typo?

Good Luck

Thought so Steve but wanted to make sure. Writing down selections, off work today so going to OTB to play CD.

Special thanks to all our Veterans.

CRC and CD dispute

Does anyone know where we stand in regards to being able to wager on CD and CRC on Xpressbet, TVG, Youbet, TwinSpires, etc? Has there been any signs of progress or are we at the same place we were 6 months ago?

Appreciate the selections of CD and CRC but realistically there is no way for many of us to wager on those tracks...

Thanks,

PSH

This from DRF's Hegarty: They are negotiating.

I work at a horse track here in Minnesota and would highly doubt any change in the ability to bet on CDI tracks anytime in the near future. Take it up with entity that is CDI.

There has been little movement, but reports are that CDI is at least talking to TGH now which represents progress.

And while I appreciate that it's an inconvenience for you to bet Calder and Churchill where you are, it's as much of one for those of us outside California to bet Hollywood (and Santa Anita next month)... Should I stop doing selections for Hollywood because of that?

EARLY PICK 3 and 4

I know I am new to the site, so here is my attempt to establish some credibility right of the bat.

CD Race 1:

$1 Pick 4
1: 4,6
2: 1,2,4,7
3: 5,1
4: 2,4,7,8

$64 ticket

CD Race 2:

$1 Pick 3

2: 1,2,4,6,7
3: 1,5
4: 8

$10 ticket

I usually always keep my P3 tickets below $12. I have found if I spend more than that I am usually improperly handicapping a race.

Stay tuned for more selections.

I wouldn't stop doing your handicapping for these issues... It's good to stay on top of the game in California. Plus, everyone can still bet at the track.

thunderdan09 11-11-2008 11:40 AM

The Lukas horse in the first is 3-1. At the price there is good value. I expected 8-5.

thunderdan09 11-11-2008 11:46 AM

Race 1 - Churchill Downs

The #4 (Diva's Gold) made a closing move when he hit the top of the stretch to hit the winners circle.

The #7 (Why Now) had the lead the whole way around the track and lost it in the final furlong. She held on for 2nd.

The #8 (Spoiler Now) completed the trifecta, but was never a factor.

1 for 1 in the P4

thunderdan09 11-11-2008 12:12 PM

Race 2 - Churchill Downs

The #6 (Yikes) ran away with race. Pounced on the leaders before the quarter pole and nobody touched her.

Track seems to be running very fair right now.

thunderdan09 11-11-2008 12:43 PM

Leparoux wins the first three. All easy wins!

cowgirlintexas 11-11-2008 12:53 PM

Hey Dan, Welcome to D.T and looks like so far your a pretty good handicapper..Best of luck with the 8 in the 4th :)

thunderdan09 11-11-2008 12:56 PM

I am live in the Pick 4 also, I just forgot to put the 6 horse in my previous post. My mistake.

I appreciate the comments.

The #8 horse at 6-1 looks like good value

blackthroatedwind 11-11-2008 01:03 PM

That won't help out any attempt at credibility. Good luck the rest of the day.

Probably not, but I did have him in the pick 3. Just a mistake. The pick 3 should establish some.

cowgirlintexas 11-11-2008 01:13 PM

Way to go!!! I don't blame ya...Congrats! :)

blackthroatedwind 11-11-2008 01:26 PM

I just hate it when one of the chalks wins when you have an all.

I knew Leparioux was going to get hot in the early Pick-4. I think it's Calvin Borel's turn in the late Pick-4.

I love playing jockeys. It saves so much time.

thunderdan09 11-11-2008 01:27 PM

Since Leparoux has now one the pick 4 all by himself. I am going to go out on a limb and say he won't win again today.

I like the #1 horse here in the 5th at 5-1 right now.

I'm going with Robby in the late Pick 4 - Cold 7 / 8 (Robby pick up mount) / 2 / 3

Coach Pants 11-11-2008 01:31 PM

That 3 horse has a nice set of balls.

$50 win.

GPK 11-11-2008 01:38 PM

Steve:

By no way was my comment meant that you should stop or even consider stop making your selections. I just wanted to ask where we stand in the negotiations and to state that because of this mess it is hard for some of us to make wagers on certain tracks given how they wager and where they live.
I am sorry if you thought for a second if i was making a negative comment on you putting up selections.

thunderdan09 11-11-2008 02:34 PM

Leparoux is going for 6 straight on the chalk here.

I like the #3 as a longshot play.

the_fat_man 11-11-2008 02:38 PM

WTF is up with all these ACCENTS calling races? The dude calling the 7th seems to be 'related' to the dude I MUTE at GG. Anybody with a U.S. accent available?

P..

No apology necessary as I didn't construe it that way at all... This has been coming up on ATR regularly and I'm trying to be fair to interested parties in all parts of the country that follow racing. I have something I could say about the chest-beating group that puts themselves ahead of everything else in the game, but don't want to get into that here and now. Suffice to say that I'd like to see all parties satisfied as these complex negotiations continue throughout the industry.

docicu3 11-11-2008 02:40 PM

NIce single there on Feline Steve maybe you can catch a price or two the rest of the way. 6 for Julien not a bad days work today for a guy who had cooled off the last year or so

oh TFM..that's classic

thunderdan09 11-11-2008 02:43 PM

Longshot play ran 3rd, and the unbelievable day continues for Leparoux. 6 for 6

GPK 11-11-2008 02:46 PM

Just curious...but how many of these have been Makers horses?
