WOW is all I can say....The local fan gathering (5 Points) went/is going ballistic tonight, bedlam ensuing.. Bunch of knuckleheads drinking Beast Ice had to ruin it for some on-drivers though...Can't imagine for the life of me why those people decided to drive through that section? It was friendly for the most part. Frankford and Cottman would have been the better choice.

Things bounced in the Phils favor this year that could've easily went the other way. I'm fully aware of that fact, and am humbled by it. I would love to see us rise victorious from the WS, but once again it is not an easily traveled road. Good to see the NL come down to Scuds/Anti-declan backed squadrons.

GO PHILS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think you may end up wishing Billingsley hadn't been such a total woman for you guys. Next Wednesday is a long time away. When is the last time this team had to wait that long to play? ...Exactly....It's an issue. Ask Detroit n' Colorado about it. Obviously, we lost most belief in ourselves after Monday's game. Then, when Billygoat had nothing, they really lost any confidence, or tried too hard. Didn't help that the home ump called both Kent n' Martin out on balls, but evidentally they don't even grade these guys on balls n' strikes. Any Cub fan would tell ya that. I mean the balls I saw that idiot Ed Rapuano call strikes against Edmonds(the last week of the season) were really outrageous. Then, I saw him do it again. I don't remember when. Maybe in your last series? I don't like this Winters guy, but Rapuano is really bad. The guy calling Monday night's game called Utley out on a ball not even close to being a strike. I am certainly not ever gunna cry about anything bad happening to Kent, but that's a tough last at bat to have to end your career on. He would of whiffed on the next pitch, but he deserved to see another pitch. Seattle, Baltimore, or K.C. got any decent young pitchers we can unload Billingsley for? I want to send him to a s-h-i-t team in the other league. You can't keep a guy on your team that gave you no shot in 2 playoff games out of the 5 game series. There's no way. If he battled, and hung around down 3 runs into the 5th or 6th, then maybe. What he did was turn woman. If there's no undisclosed injury to help excuse it, then he must go. It's a results business. What are we supposed to do? Let him go 15-12 next year, and then leave him off the playoff roster? He has great stuff(LOL,) but he's a woman's private part. Can't keep him in that clubhouse. Sad thing is they probably will just bring him back as if nothing happened. He will have a decent year, and get raped again in the post. He only pitched good against the Cubs because we weren't suppose to be able to take the 1st two games in Chicago. The 2nd game there was house money for whatever Dodger started it. No pressure whatsoever. "Do the best not to get beat too badly" Then, when he was expected to have to go to war against Philly, he twice was a woman. That ain't gunna improve. Unless we are huge post season longshots, he is gunna be a woman in the post. That's just the way he is gunna be.

Well, I think he will be available. Wouldn't be surprised if the steering in his car fails before the trade goes down. We won 1 game. We lost 2 close games. This cntface destroyed the other 2 games early on. To be honest, I wouldn't be that upset to see both Billygoat n' Broxton be part of somebody's f'n pizza toppings. They are women in a man's game. Billygoat blew 2 games of a 5 game series. Broxton atleast pitched well in one game in the series. Billygoat will never be welcomed in this park again by these fans. It would be a mistake to underestimate the anger that will be unleashed on this woman if they don't trade her. Look at the game in Pittsburgh in September. Think that wasn't a big game? It was a big loss at the time. If we didn't get Loney to bail us out the next day, then we probably would have lost the division. This is 3 big important games where she totally let this team down(not 2.) Cntface got to be gone. She will only repeat this. Btch has got very bad habits that can't be corrected. She couldn't even protect Manny last Friday. That's right. Myers threw behind Manny, and Billygirl was so f'n tight she couldn't get the ball inside enough to retaliate. That's why Manny was so upset. Said he wanted a guy like Myers on his club(in a direct dig at Billygirl for not throwing inside to retaliate.) That's how bad her control was. I think both times she tried, the pitches got called strikes. The other players aren't a bit happy about that. Not only that, but she then blamed last Friday on Martin's pitch selection. She's the btch who's fkn control was so off that she couldn't get inside enough to retaliate for Myers throwing at Manny.

Well LA has done some stupid things, but I doubt they get rid of a minimum salary starting pitcher, who is not even arbitration elgible until 2010.

Broxton - maybe - since he's arbitration elgible, but I doubt it.

What are you gunna do in the post? Huh? We are never gunna give her the ball again in a playoff game. You can forget about that happening. I guarantee you somebody will do whatever it takes to make sure she never pitches in another playoff game here. There is no way.

Wait n' see. This is waste from our abortion, and we aren't gunna keep it around to remind us what fun she let the Phils have. If they try to pitch her here again, I think she will end up in an accident of sorts(just a guess.) You must really think we are weak. To let her pitch here again? 2 abortions in one week, and 3 in a month?

Well Volquez wasn't as good in the 2nd half. E.R.A. drifted up to be about the same as Billygoat's. Cincy is cheap. What would we have to give them to get Volquez? Kemp is a huge choker in the clutch. Will that ever change? I don't know. Everybody loves him, but he needs bad pitching, or he can't do a thing. Obviously, he piles on well against bad pitchers(especially at home.) I've watched him his whole career, and Ethier is a better hitter against tough pitching. See, that's another thing that hurt us in this series. Ethier didn't hit Philly like he did when we beat Philly 4 games in a row here. That could change. Ethier could do a lot better in the post next time. Kemp I doubt it. Billygoat will continue to choke in the post. Broxton will be inconsistent in the post, and any other time. They have to dump the Billygoat. Broxton and Kemp should be available if the price is right. For some reason people are in love with Kemp. I have never seen anyone easier to get out with junk pitches. He is a good athlete, but not a great hitter. He is still just a good hitter if he gets bad pitches. He covers good ground in the field, and can throw people out at the plate. He puts people in the seats, but not wins in the record. I don't see him as being a difference maker. He is fun to watch, but he doesn't hit anything good thrown to him. Can we get Volquez for Kemp, or Billygoat?

We got a chance if Kemp is involved. For some reason they think that guy is gunna be a superstar, and I have no clue why. They would probably do it for Kemp and Billygoat. Volquez n' Billygoats regular season stats were close. Volquez had more walks. I don't know how anybody could, but says he did. The Reds would do it, but Dodgers are too stupid to do it. They think Kemp is gunna wake up and be impactful(not!!.)

SCUDSBROTHER 10-17-2008 10:51 AM

Billygoat is perfect for the Reds. He is from Ohio. They aren't going to the post. So, Billygoat can relax, and win 20 games with barely anyone watching. I wouldn't be surprised if he wins 20 games for a non-contender. That's the woman's niche.

Reds will never do it, and according to LA, Kemp is untouchable.

You are sounding like those Yankees fans who use to think a couple of years ago, that they could get Pujols and Carpenter from the Cardinals.

Yeah..un fukn be lievable how that guy is untouchable. He never hits a good pitch. One of the worst guys ever when the pressure is on. Just be swinging at empty space. He can do everything but hit a decent pitch. I fail to see the immense value. He is fun to watch against bad pitching. Other than that, the guy is not much fun to watch. The problem is he has improved his eye at the plate. He swings at fewer pitches that he used to miss by 2 feet. SO, THEY THINK HE WILL START HITTING GOOD BREAKING BALLS N' SLIDERS. HE CAN'T DO THAT. Ethier can do that. Ethier is the one who will get better n' better. He's the one who could take over a playoff series if he gets more comfortable. We took 4 at home against Philly, because Ethier was in a zone. He has to get more consistent, and comfortable. He has the potential. I don't see the potential for Kemp to hit good junk pitches.

Well, they are gunna be forced to get rid of Billygoat. They can act like hopeful children, but adults know a choker has to be gotten rid of. It's gunna get ugly here if they don't get rid of him. Media likes to portray Dodger fans as being a bunch of Hollywood types. They never show the hardcore fans out in the bleachers. 60 % of the Dodger fans are Latins that are paying a significant amount of their income to afford those games. This is a big deal to them, and if they bring back Billygoat he will be booed every game. We know we have no shot in the post with him unless it's a game he has zero pressure in(like the Chicago game was ....house money situation.)

Crown@club 10-17-2008 11:47 AM

But you don't need Pierre back at full time starting, even if you can't resign Furcal. Besides his proneness to injury, I think LA needs to take care of him first before Manny.

Furcal is the glue for this team, but if these vultures want obscene money, then we can't do it. I want him back. He is incredibly fun to watch all the time. The drag bunts etc. Look at the bunt over the 3rd baseman's head the other night. How many people have the confidence to pull that off? Honestly, I think he is hurt. I never saw him miss throws like that. I don't think it was just emotions. The guy is the type that won't admit he is hurt until he has to. That deep throw from the hole between short n' 3rd was the best example. This guy has got an absolute gun, but he couldn't throw it without a bounce. He used to make that play easily(believe it or not.) Something isn't right with his throwing. Has to be because of an injury. It's a tough decision, because I know they are gunna want a lot of money.

Furcal makes a lot of sense for the White Sox if they dont resign Cabrera

I don't know...Ramirez' natural position is SS and it's easier to plug in a second baseman until their #1 Draft Pick SS is ready and then move Alexi back to second.

Third base is still a real issue. Fields can't field, Uribe is too streaky to be every day, although his glove is solid.

He and Ramirez would make a great combo up the middle. Though you are right in that 3b is a problem for them. Uribe doesnt hit enough to be a SS let alone a corner IF.
A nice 3 year deal would give them time to let the young guy develop.
