Cancer

Unfortunately they found cancer on me on wednesday ,they took a biopcey to see if it is aggressive or not & i am waiting for the results, I found a big black mole in my groin region ( not the local whore ;) )about 2 months ago & it took that long to get to see the skin specialist unfortunately it is where the lympth nodes are so ive been told its serious.
This is not about sympathy this really is just a note to all of you about getting to see the doctor as soon as you find something different with you body Don't wait like i did.
Forget the she'll be right attitude & i'm invincible & most of all spend every day as its your last dont miss a thing do all the things youve wanted to do, dont waste it with work & debt & be good to those who know you.
Do you think im **** scared ?,Hell yes i am, this was not meant to happen yet,ive still got races to win All i can do is wait & reflect but i wish to thank you all for the pleasure i get from this site i might not agree with every thought posted here but i must say if we were all the same what a damn boring world this would be & i still hope to contribute for a little while yet:D

Keep your chin up mate. Even if it is cancer there is so much that can be done. It may be a tough road, but such is life. Fight the fight!

I'm not counting you out yet.

Sorry Brett but you're not allowed to leave.

Seriously, I know it's terrifying and the waiting feels endless but as others have said there's a lot that can be done if it's caught in time. You did the right thing, having it checked, and your bravery and honesty equal your passion and your humor.

When it gets difficult try to remember that you're being thought of and that you have people in your life who care deeply for you, and many many people who will always be here to listen.

I'm really am painfully sorry.

Big, big hug to you and please let us know what happens with the results.

Now go have a drink! Oh wait... it's the middle of the night, huh?

Go have one anyway. :p

timmgirvan 10-11-2008 11:07 AM

Prayers up for you,DT friend! I have 2 friends that are still doing well after having this problem. Enjoy what you have...you'll beat this and have another story to tell:)

Are you on the Browns kick coverage team??

magic_idol 11-18-2008 03:28 AM

Hello :D , I got the results back a couple of days ago, 3 weeks of HELL but aparrently after the lab results they had to be sent down to the major cancer hospital for some professor to have a look @ so you could say my spot was well travelled & the major census was they got it all !!!!.
Wow is all i can say its like being given a second life ,but i wasnt ready to go just yet ,i still have a Melbourne cup & Breeders cup to win;) .
I want to thank you all for your concern you really do feel so isolated & alone when **** like this goes down & the doctors dont give you any hope so i have been glad to type my problems here & hope that like me if you find a spot get it looked @ straight away ,because it was on my lymph nodes a couple of more months & it would have been to far gone:(

Congrats on the great news. I took an 8 1/2 week sabatical of daily tanning sessions for Prostate Cancer. My first follow up a couple of weeks ago and the Dr. said that I was in great shape with a PSA level that went from over six down to one. He told me to go and live life. Prayer, faith, friends, family and a former claimer that's 4-1-3 since we picked him up. Remember you now have the power to help others. Go and live life my friend.:tro:
