CONGRATS to GPK and Heels !! nice win for UNC.

Bigsmc 09-27-2008 02:51 PM

It never gets old watching the 'Canes go down to defeat.

Gators in deep trouble as I type. Down 1 with 1:22 to play.

Missed a wide open receiver on the last drive that would've won the game.

Overthrew him by 5 yds.

I dont think a driver's seat exits in this conference.
Way crazy and too talented. Young talent
that can screw up... it only takes one game.

It exists this week and Bama is in it.

Not exactly until LSU. I dont want to hear anything about how tough Ol Miss or KY or Tenn are. Alabama is much better than all of them.

Danzig 09-27-2008 10:36 PM

it's not that the teams are all tough-they're beatable. but attrition on the other hand.....that's what makes it tough from week to week.

lsu squeaks by miss st, again. miss state has only managed to beat the bengals one time in 19 meetings. lee is on the improve, but some improvement to be made. now scott is a workhorse, only guy to put up over 100 yards rushing at auburn (last week) and over 100 today.

the bama/lsu game ought to be good.

lsu with a bye next week, to prep for the gators at the swamp. i picked bama to win today, and got some grief for it-hehe.

being better is one thing, playing like it every week is another. KY game i expect to be close next week because Bama should be a flat. i'll be surprised otherwise.

where can i watch Bama next week in lexington and not get mugged?:D

Probably just my house

The best thing that happened is KY beat LSU last year and Miss beat Fl this week. Saban will use that to get the troops ready. I pray LSU and Alabama are both undefeated and bama beats them. Tom Amoss will never be the same...

Danzig 09-28-2008 05:09 PM

alabama is now ranked #2, its highest ranking since 1993. i would argue they should have moved up to the top spot, since they beat a tougher opponent than oklahoma did in meeting tcu. i mean, if the people making these rankings really believe in them, why do they ignore a defeated opponents ranking when they vote?!
lsu #3, followed by missouri and texas. penn state up to #6. usc fell to 9th-which bolsters my argument. if 1 can fall to 9, why can't #9 climb to #1??

#2 in the AP and #4 in USAToday. i still think Bama is over-rated.................. for now.

Oklahoma is overrated.

I know they do not get better at bowl time.
But right now. I dont see how they could do anything
better than they have.

Now Texas.
Texas is thoroughly untested.
Missouri has D problems.
Bama is very young.
LSU... I dont know about their QB.

Dont be surprised if the Buckeyes make it back.
If Pryor is used properly, they can be right back in the big one.

he's getting there. lee took all but one snap yesterday. scott is a hell of a running back. lsu may not end up in the hunt for the title this year, but next year....look out! scotts only a junior, lee is improving weekly. fun to watch. what was really fun was watching texas manhandle arkansas. :D
