Yes, you are correct. The one time they faced each other, Pyro outfinished Big Truck by 1/4 length to claim 10th place in the Blue Grass.

as of the morning line odds, the other Tagg horse Doc N Roll looks like the bet. He can sit just off the pace and Coa has teamed up with this one on the turf, and is an underrated jockey near the pace in a turf route.

Big Truck should be "involved" but has no real strengths above these others for this trip. Has the nice female stamina on paper, but has failed whenever given a stamina test at a high class.

This race is kind of odd, in that there is not much turf breeding at all, and most of these want to be right up pressing near the pace. Lisa Lewis has the one turf closer. If Missinglisalewis isn't too cheap, he still has to carry Mike Luzzi home on a turf Route from off the pace. Maybe use him underneath in a tri or something?

Doc N Roll

EDIT - doc opens as the fav , with lisalongshot at only 6-1. looks like a "watcher" :(

I'm interested in Schwartz gelding as a price option.. Be Bullish.

I took the Contessa horse "Wild Tomcat". Sure there's alot of speed in this race but they'll hurt themselves if they go with him. He can handle the turf if his debut on turf was any indication. I wouldn't touch Big Truck at what looks to be an underlaid price.

Coach Pants 09-24-2008 12:57 PM

I boxed the 3,6,7 for the exacta and played a 3,6/3,5,6,7/3,5,6,7 tri.

mes5107 09-24-2008 01:01 PM

Exacta 1,4 w/ 1,2,4,6

Bobby Fischer 09-24-2008 01:03 PM

3-5 exbx

Coach Pants 09-24-2008 01:07 PM

*sigh*

Big Truck has to suckup and blow my exacta up.

Bobby Fischer 09-24-2008 01:10 PM

not a bad race

good call Mes , Steve

I admit it I was lucky, never in a million yrs did I expect Wishful Tomcat to come from the back of the pack to get up:zz: . He was supposed to be up on the pace, or atleast I thought he was going to be there.

holy ****

i must a have been watching in a fog... I wasn't focused on the winner & thought megapixel won for some reason... :o

much better ride on tomcat with Dominguez rating off the pace, in contrast to castellano's jackass ride with russian sage right on the early pace

would have thought Tomcat needed 1 1/8th and the easy lead.

The way the race played out, the rating was a stroke of genious by Dominguez. However looking at the pp's there was no way of knowing the horse was capable of doing it. Just proof there are times you can never discount a horse with decent numbers.
