Obama's Speech

Like him or hate him, that was powerful.

Interesting the choice of music here at the end.

It was country music. I wish I was red enough to know who the artist is but it was an interesting choice. They certainly know who their target market is.

LOL....I would be willing to place a very large wager you have watched more Nascar this year than me.

MaTH716 08-28-2008 10:08 PM

Wow, The country is going to be in great shape! I think only two things he isn't going to do while in office is cure Cancer and find out if Elvis is still alive. Maybe he is saving that for his second term.

pgardn 08-28-2008 10:10 PM

The man is very good.

Right up there with Reagan and Clinton.

Brains hooked directly to mouth.

both those could speak without the teleprompter and do it well.
Obama is a totally different speaker if you turn off the script, and for that reason is nowhere near a Reagan or even Clinton.

American flags waving and politicians speaking of God.....What is this Democratic party coming to?

You need more singles walking from Union Station to downtown than you do at Crazy Horse. Although singles won't get you far either place..

Agreed. did you notice that even on this site there wasnt a single post commenting on his speech while he was speaking? After it was over, the comments came...immediately after it was over. It is pretty impressive that those that are so sickened and/or bored by the man could sit through a 1 hour speech.

If one were to listen without prejudice or preconceived opinion based on policy or party, one would have to agree that he is a pretty inspirational orator. Or maybe it just seems that way because of what we have had to listen to for the last eight years.

Coach Pants 08-28-2008 10:20 PM

I'd vote for him if he promised to be executed by firing squad if he couldn't come through with at least 25% of the promises he made in that speech.

Being a great orator does not mean you will be a great president.

ArlJim78 08-28-2008 10:26 PM

on his laundry list of changes he wants to make, "safer toys"?
did he leave anything out? i guess not.

Funny

Interesting that the knocks against the guy before this speech was that he never defined what type of changes that he wants to make.

Now that he lists his changes, he is overpromising.

LOL. let the spin begin.

No kidding. I took Public Speaking in college and made A's on every speech I gave, but only made a C in the class because I never turned in a written outline. Never had much of an idea what was gonna come out of my mouth until I started talking. I have the gift of gab and bullsh*t...just like most politicians.

CNN keeps interviewing sissies.

Whoever is selling kleenex at Invesco is banking.

GBBob 08-28-2008 10:29 PM

OK..Is there ANYONE out there who is truly undecided? Those are the 16 votes that they are fighting for

Have you considered a career in Congress?:D

trifecta124 08-28-2008 10:31 PM

I bet Obama voted for Bush in 2004....I don't think he could have voted for Kerry.

Dude..if the 18 people held at gunpoint in Ohio had voted, he'd be Prez now

MaTH716 08-28-2008 10:33 PM

Well if he loses the election, I am sure he will do very well selling used cars.
