I dont think I could ever vote for a democrat. I may be the only gay person on the planet to say that but I try not to let social issues cloud my political views. My #1 politcal view is keeping taxes as low as possible.. followed closely behind that is my belief that socialized medicine would absolutely RUIN our great country and our medical program over here (I've lived in Ireland and New Zealand.. both countries with socialized medicine and let me be the first to say... it SUCKED)

OBAMA
28% on profit from ALL home sales

How does this affect you?
If you sell your home and make a profit, you will pay 28% of your gain on taxes. If you are heading toward retirement and would like to down-size your
home or move into a retirement community, 28% of the money you
make from your home will go to taxes. This proposal will adversely affect the
elderly who are counting on the income from their homes as part of their retirement income.

DIVIDEND TAX

MCCAIN 15% (no change)

OBAMA39.6%

How will this affect you?
If you have any money invested in stock market, IRA, mutual funds,
college funds, life insurance, retirement accounts, or anything that pays
or reinvests dividends, you will now be paying nearly 40% of the money
earned on taxes if Obama become president.

I really wish that we could have a political party that really understood and cared about the american people.. not just personal greed and power. 99% of the politicians out there are Sh-itheads. I cant stand how everything is either "right or left" there has to be a correct stance on certain issues and it it really sad how people these days cant have their own views, they have to go with there party's thoughts!

Until that happens I'm just going to vote for the person who will keep taxes the lowest... and stay far far away from socialized medicine (believe me, it would be horrible). I just cant and will never agree with the belief to steal more from hard working people and give the money to lazy a$$es. People who really need help, thats cool I'm more than fine to help.. but rewarding people who do not deserve it really pisses me off!

I'm really scared about what Obama could do with this Middle East situation.. the man just has zero experience to deal with this... I mean 4 years ago he just in the Illinios State Government.... thats like nothing! He has not been around long enough for me to be comfortable with decisions he could make. Maybe 12 years from now but who knows!

but Obama is a Christian and I'm not concerned with his name, religion, etc. I'm big about seperation of Church and State (one of the things I dont like about the Repubs). I'm concerned with Obama's Politics.

Lori currently under law (signed by William Jefferson Clinton) the first 250,000 in capital gains on your Primary residence is tax free (500k if you are married and file jointly). Do you know if Obama has said that he wants to get rid of this exclusion or does he just want to raise the rate from 15% to 28% on profits over the 250k for singles and 500k for couples? any info would be appreciated
