with no tiger in this field at those odds he is very inviting

do you really think if it comes down to him and sergio , that sergio will beat him

i don't think so

I dont like him if the wind blows Marty. Hits the ball to high...IMO.

brockguy 07-16-2008 03:07 PM

this is where it all started for rose 10 years ago. i fancy him to do alright this weekend..

threw a few cheeky bets on Fasth, Cejka and David Howell as well.

timmgirvan 07-16-2008 03:10 PM

I don't like the top guys for this one...Maybe Cink can pull it off!

3kings 07-16-2008 05:41 PM

I'll go with J. Leonard. His game is coming around since he went back to his old coach. If he putts well he will be in contention on Sunday.

I'm with you on Justin Rose. This time, with the experience, he has as good a shot as any to take it down.

philcski 07-16-2008 06:14 PM

I like Westwood. He's been playing extremely well this year and 15-1 seems fair to me.

MinnSkinny 07-16-2008 07:04 PM

A. Kim, Westwood, Martin Kaymer..........all finish behind Robert Karllson (I think).

herkhorse 07-17-2008 07:14 AM

course is playing tough
Ogilvy +7
Vijay +11 thru 15
Phil +8 thru 12

brockguy 07-17-2008 11:23 AM

Ill take Rose on +4, not a bad start... great to see Mediate chip in from 17 a minute ago to go to par and Duval showing a glimmer of his previous talent..

Cajungator26 07-17-2008 10:04 PM

GRAEME MCDOWELL!!! WHOOHOO!!! :cool:

My youngest kid played this song for me a while back. I need to work on listening to this one without choking back a few. Kinda like being ambushed by "Christmas Shoes" during the holidays.

Great song Jaime...

SCUDSBROTHER 07-18-2008 12:00 AM

Allenby is probably playing well enough to take this, but I don't trust him. I'll take Rocco. Seems to feel like he is playing with house money. I'll wait to make sure he gets through the early 2nd round tee time. Supposed to be bad early. 20-1, and I don't think his odds will be less if I wait until Friday Night. Lets see how he does.

Ain't playing Mediate. Obviously, still has position, but I don't think he was fighting hard enough for pars.

Norman= a choke

Villegas=a choke

Duval= a choke

Choi= a choke

Mediate= this track doesn't require power, but he often loses shots due to a lack of power. Didn't get a bird on either par 5 today, and bogeyed one of them. I think he was +2 right there, because of a lack of power.In other words, he can't make the mistakes on par 5 holes(and other guys are able to get away with it.) He lost the U.S. Open because his lack of power didn't allow him to get a 4 on the par five 18th. It's a huge handicap, and he doesn't work harder on the par 5 holes(he must.)

Who else is up there?

Harrington can make putts, but seeing how Mediate went out and fkd up the back 9, I don't want to jinx Padraig by playing him.

brockguy 07-18-2008 12:57 PM

Norman looks grand for a 53 year old but his caddie looks about 90, I have doubts about him getting through another 2 days..

Villegas was absolutely sensational today, birdied the last 5.

Winds are supposed to be massive tomorrow, will make things extremely interesting..

What kind of fish do they use to make fish n' chips with? They use just one type of fish, or just whatever is around?

Good day to be a Dub. After we beat Wexford today, we got back to the pub to see Padraig's (a fellow dub like myself!!!) crackingly good 2nd shot to set up his eagle.. The place went mental...
