If you have been through the Cleveland sports
for any number of years, you should be given a medal.
The following teams have attemted to torture the city...

Browns
Indians
Cavs

Admiration for sticking with these teams.
The heartbreak Browns. Ernest Byner.
I will never forget those games.

Stop watching, the Browns are good...

The Bid 07-09-2008 11:51 PM

Gladiators are good too, they are in the championship. ESPN said the Browns are on par with the Pats this year. Probably go 7-9

pgardn 07-10-2008 12:01 AM

Bernie Kozar deftly guiding them downfield.
They came up with huge plays, and lost.
I was in shock and not even a fan. Guess I was
silently rooting.

Brian Sipe... he was pretty darn good also
with no real arm.

Mortimer 07-10-2008 12:07 AM

The Indians are not real..they do not exist.

There are a very bad mirage introduced by mind controllers....they are not real. This is not happening. The real Indians are on a different frequency not visible to the human eye. They are 80-7.

The Bid 07-10-2008 08:58 AM

How do I get into that frequency

Mortimer 07-10-2008 09:35 AM

!

Sniff 3 day old cedar embers, drink from the St-St-St-Stuttering St-St-St-St-Stanley Cup after adding magic hockey dust to it....and then watch ET backwards.

The Bid 07-10-2008 09:42 AM

I did everything you asked and the closer is still Betencourt.

Mortimer 07-10-2008 09:43 AM

Enjoy the Indians r2d2.

He is the positions players version of the bullpen.

Somethings wrong then. The real RB on the real Indians has 43 saves and an era of .096.

r u shore those were cedar embers?

The Bid 07-10-2008 09:46 AM

I think I see Neal Heaton, and Doug Jones. Im getting there.

Last night should have gotten Wedge fired

Mortimer 07-10-2008 09:48 AM

Oh yes....right direction.

You know.....both of them should have been fired when they tossed Brandon Phillips....and then again when they tossed Jeremy Guthrie. One thing they are both good at is deflecting blame. They can fool you if you are an idiot.

The latest mantra is "injuries to core players". I could tear that one up with great joy.

The Bid 07-10-2008 09:51 AM

If Hafner going down ruins a teams chances at the playoffs you dont have much of a team. So what, Carmona is hurt, we cant do an better than Sowers? A few nights ago Sowers looked like he was throwing batting practice. I was eating a steak at outback and almost choked watching him throw 85MPH meatballs down the middle of the plate to the heart of Detroits lineup.

Besides poor Cliff Lee the indians entire pitching staff should be sent down. Every single one of them

Well the thing with their pitiful excuse is ..so what if Westbrooks and Carmona were not hurt? How much better would we be with this pathetic line up and bullpen? Their era's were over 3.00. They weren't doing Cliff Lee.Hafner hasn't hit for well over a year. He picked up right from where he left off in the playoffs.Martinez--ok....he would help if not hurt.....but how much difference would one guy make?

If those 4 were not hurt I don't see us being better than maybe 7 game under instead of the ...15? or so we are now.....at best.

Mortimer 07-10-2008 10:02 AM

I have to say that Livingston's columns are to die for lately.

He called Shapiro The Sultan of Squat.

Mortimer 07-10-2008 10:09 AM

....uh...how can you with a straight face pencil in r2d2 for your line up?...

...they can't possibly be showcasing him......so someone is insane....

The Bid 07-10-2008 10:17 AM

Its pathetic

This team couldnt get the 87 team out of a jog. Can you imagine what Carter, Snyder, Bando, Thorton, Jacoby, Butler, Tabler, Franco, would have done to this squad of zeros

Not to mention the Candy Man, Swindell, and those couple other geezers that team sent out every 5 days

Oh I agree...those guys would do much better than this team right now.

And think how much better they would do if they were still playing baseball!

The Bid 07-10-2008 10:39 AM

POSITION PLAYERS

C Chris Bando Kelly Shoppach
1B Joe Carter Ryan Garko
2B Tony Bernazard Jamie Carrol
3B Brook Jacoby Casey Blake
LF Mel Hal Ben Fransisco
CF Brett Butler Grady Sizemore
RF Cory Snyder Shin Shoo Choo
DH Pat Tabler Jeorge Valendia

The only player the Indians had in 87 that would fit this years pathetic team is Earnie the "macho man" Camacho. He was also like a molotav cocktail

Mortimer 07-10-2008 10:40 AM

How about this?

We have only one guy who you can say is a legitimate 4 hitter.

That's the AL hr leader---Sizemore.

And he hits LEAD OFF!!

DOUGH!!!

The Bid 07-10-2008 10:41 AM

Can you imagine Otis Nixon setting the table for Sizemore.

Mortimer 07-10-2008 10:44 AM

A lot more than I could r2d2.

Mortimer 07-10-2008 11:02 AM

I would love to be a pitcher looking in for the sign from Sighty-poo...I mean Diane Lane.

Mortimer 07-10-2008 11:15 AM

Let's se....she's calling for a long one........up high on her left thigh.

I go into my wind up and

thud

Mortimer 07-10-2008 11:24 AM

This could make the Indians games more palatable.

The Bid 07-10-2008 11:36 AM

Give her the high hard one Morty

Mortimer 07-10-2008 11:46 AM

WHOA!!

I guess that would follow an intentional pass, though.

Mortimer 07-10-2008 11:56 AM

But back to the Indians.

Is there such a thing as a pinch manager??

The Bid 07-10-2008 01:01 PM

Shapiro just made a move to bring Pat Corrales in from the pen

Mortimer 07-10-2008 01:39 PM

I think you could replace Shapiro with a tree sloth and no one would notice.

Mortimer 07-10-2008 06:24 PM

By the way,sir....who is Jeorge Valendia!!?

The Bid 07-10-2008 06:38 PM

A DH

Indians are on deck. Sal Fasano looks like a 50 year old third base coach. I think hes in the line up tonight

Mortimer 07-10-2008 06:44 PM

Oh that ...what'shisname!

Oh my God.

This is beginning to make Major League look like an all star team.

The Bid 07-10-2008 06:46 PM

When Casey Blake is the cornerstone of the line up you are in trouble

Mortimer 07-10-2008 06:49 PM

True,but...and I'm in shame to admit this....I have seen r2d2 hit in the 3 hole.

YES.

3

Mortimer 07-11-2008 10:06 AM

FINAL;

Tampa............2
Cleveland........THUD!

r2d2 hit a THUD!

Mortimer 07-11-2008 10:09 AM

3 innings by the bullpen and they didn't give up a THUD!

Mortimer 07-11-2008 10:11 AM

Andy ParTay had a hit!!

THUD!!

Mortimer 07-11-2008 11:00 AM

Geez...the Indians win a bb game and life as we know it on Earth stops.
