Not much to disagree with on the selections & your shots are legit flyers.I only caution the 11th. The #5 Cheryls Surprise, my favorite angle in racing and that's blinkers off the speed. If RAW SILK takes the AO on the front end all the way the 5 in the 11th is a lock.Good luck to all:D

so much for mike smith on controlling speed.....lol

Pure Clan is not good enough to hit the board here?:zz:

And they must think an awful lot of BR, getting Castellano to ride in for the mount.

From watching "The Works", I thought that both Pure Clan and Lady of Venice trained very poorly. But Pure Clan didn't look great back in May either and she still came back and won the Regret Stakes. So I can't totally throw her out. She is a good filly. But I could never bet on a horse that looks that bad galloping.

I'm leaning towards Backseat Rhytmn and Raw Silk.

I didn't like Lady of Venice at all. She ran last ON THE INSIDE last out, in a race where everything that ran was on the inside, basically sucking up the entire race.

And, the only workout I show for PC is the end of June at CD. Did she work at HOL?

I don't think she worked out here. I just saw both horses gallop and neither looked pretty.

Pure Clan...

Well here is a kick in the balls. Have 1,3,5,6,8 in the P4, and I run 1/2/3, but not the right way, thought the 3 had a real shot to win the Oaks......

That was about as comprehensive an ASS KICKING as one would want. The freak wins and the GUTLESS ONES (RS and BR) run, well, like gutless ones. Those sub 49 halfs are tough to deal with, I know.

I don't think sore is what you're seeing in her morning gallops.......she's just one of the quirkiest filly I've ever been around. She hasn't changed much since she was first brought to our stable when she was a 2 y.o. Also, she's never been a good "work" horse. She's lazy when she has to work. However, she's always shown us that she's 100% game when she closes down the stretch. I am finally convinced she's found her "niche" on the turf.

I can't knock her. She is a really good filly. She's just not a very smooth mover in her morning gallops. She looks a little rough. But she runs great in the afternoon when it counts. That's the most important thing.

This has to be just about the most NAIVE statement I've seen in a venue where naive statements is the norm. Finally convinced she's found her niche on the turf? Ha ha ha. Didn't you think she was a freak after watching her 2nd turf race at KEE last fall? Late bursts like that typical? Or don't we ever bother to watch races?

Of course, the connections felt the need to run her on dirt (and poly) so they were about as clueless as to her ability as the workout watchers.

Let's see.....first off she has never ran on Poly. Also, that was her first and only turf race at KEE. Oh, and since Holthus' string ships to Oaklawn for the winter, these "clueless" owners thought maybe they should try her on the dirt (no grass there braniac). Therefore, she was entered in the GII Golden Rod which she won and also set the 60+ year stake record. Now maybe that race didn't impress you. But then again, you've probably got lots to learn.

For some reason I had in my mind that she ran on POLY this spring. Anyway:

The dirt races are just an indication of how good she really is but she's just MUCH BETTER on TURF. This much should be OBVIOUS to anyone. NOT TODAY after she's dusted a G1 field BUT AFTER the KEE turf race. That people seriously thought that Raw Silk or BR were in her class is LAUGHABLE.

What do I have to learn, BRO? To FINALLY see this after it was OBVIOUS to me last fall? If I can't see how good a turfer this horse is BEFORE yesterday, then I really shouldn't be in the game --- seriously.

You're another CLUELESS WONDER. But this is a good thing cause you're the competition.

Relax "Bro". IEAH bought into her so they could have an Oaks filly. She still had a comparible turn of foot in the Oaklawn Stakes but ran into a gorrila in that of Eight Belles along with a four horse field with no pace. I made a point that she'd found her niche and you want to try and belittle people for their comments. Enjoy your Sunday and try to find the Golden Rod replay. Maybe youll see why they thought she was versitile enough to make a run for the KY Oaks. Peace Out!
