One word

Impossible!!

jcs11204 06-25-2008 09:46 PM

i think i agree with Scav, you would need a huge bankroll or have to be super lucky to hit this, very likely its another carryover...

but i do like Tall Texan a lot in the 8th, i think he's a single for anyone taking a stab at this.
also.. in no way am i saying any track does this, or can do this... but hollywood would LOVE a giant carryover for saturdays GIANT card.

As hard as it looks, there is no way it carries again, no way. Sorry Scavs for quoting.

Im going to give Zappa another chance. May single him in one of the tickets that I actually play.

SCUDSBROTHER 06-25-2008 10:11 PM

I am just trying to figure out how in the hell someone was alive today in that last leg. No, I don't see it carrying over again(no matter what.)

SCUDSBROTHER 06-26-2008 04:07 AM

Anita 14TH APRIL RACE 8...WTF took place at the line in that race? Trevor calls Afternoon Gold the winner, and she did look like the winner.

Bigsmc 06-26-2008 04:28 AM

PG,

You do realize that they are running today AND friday? If in some wild way it carries today. Friday will be hit 50 times.

I think I am going Scav's route on this one...enough.

you love you some ZAPPA

1 more carryover would make for an interesting friday night card.... even though i'm supposed to be taking this week off and getting squared away for 3 days of racing (thurs/fri/sat) next week.

MaTH716 06-26-2008 09:44 AM

I don't have a form and don't plan on playing, but would the 8th be a manadory ALL button play?

pweizer 06-26-2008 09:49 AM

I think the 8th is the most managable race in the sequence (3 and 10 are standouts). The 3rd to me is the real trap race. Many will single the 7 but I would be very leary of a horse that sold for half a million and was competitive in tough races who goes on the shelf is trained lightly and then shows up for a $25k tag.

Paul

MISTERGEE 06-26-2008 10:26 AM

$1000 for a million?

here goes pic 6 Hollywood

Huge trap. Two monster droppers from trainers I like to play against with this move. However, the rest of the entries look horrible to me so I'm having difficulties coming up with an upsetter.

I think the 1st race winner was probably 3rd/4th, 3 and 4 were obvious, the 1 and 5 were downright bad and the 6 had extreme questions. So if you were three deep in the 1st leg, and 5 deep in the 2nd leg (Personally, I had the opinion of one of the firsters would run well), and then 2 deep (1 and 7, didn't like Toasted or Kewin, liked the 1 and 7)...Then you were looking at 3x5x2 and I thought 4 horses got it done in that 4th leg, so you are looking at 3x5x2x4 which is only 120 combos, so if you were 4x4 into the last, then you are looking at 4k ticket, it is plausible. Hell, the 8 was by far the best horse in that race, but the 2 wasn't 'impossible'

The impossible winners for me were the 1st leg, and the last leg. And is it coincedence(?) that they were both Sadler horses :)

MISTERGEE 06-26-2008 10:38 AM

I agree, however if I was forced into it I would take Cut Trail or Scotty Jones to upset only because there is a possible suicidal speed duel in here and with them all staggering in the stretch one of those may win by default. I would normally go against Angus & Informed with those scary dropdowns but in a pic 6 play may have to hope they have one more good one left in them

herkhorse 06-26-2008 11:42 AM

Any chance that the 1 or 4 could hang on and win the third race? The only way I could cash a ticket at Hollywood is with tomorrows paper, but I will make a small donation.

Cut Trail would be my choice, but I can't stomach the 1 for 24 lifetime record. I am thinking Bejarano is smart enough not to get cooked in a duel. It's a 6,7 for me as much as I don't like them....

Bigsmc 06-26-2008 12:29 PM

Race 8

Why is Chris Paasch offering up a half to Principle Secret for a tag first time out? Not a good sign.

MISTERGEE 06-26-2008 12:49 PM

Lost Soldier not much as a sire, maybe an occasional turf runner I dont believe much else on dirt or poly

highly unlikely

SCUDSBROTHER 06-26-2008 12:53 PM

One thing I can tell you (for sure) is that if you play this man with the name that rhymes back onto itself (Agapito Delgadillo,) then you aren't gunna luck into any wins. You will only win if you have (by far) the best horse. He really should be riding somewhere lower in quality.

That's bad sign no. 2 for Paradisi.

MISTERGEE 06-26-2008 12:59 PM

going with either 7-9-10 in that one, last leg of the pic 6 and hope it will matter to me

Yep, this guy loses a lot of races coming close(like the 7th last Friday night.) He is not helpful.

declansharbor 06-26-2008 01:14 PM

Is there a contest today or are we just posting actual tickets?

Thanks in advance.

Scav 06-26-2008 01:37 PM

My opinions as far as the sequence

I think the first two races are really bad, thus anything can happen, if somehow you can get out of those races not using 80% of your combinations I think you are in good shape.

I think Ann's Approval is a single. Bejarano/speed dropping in class/blinkers off. I also am a huge fan of Mostocolli Mort and not becuase I love Mostocolli but I think the race sets up for him. I also like Tall Texan.

Last is a cluster, although Valdivia's horse looks to be decent given she/he has had some experience and could get a clean trip. Maybe just three deep.

10 Churros filly was unfortunate to run into a smoking Wesley Ward (juice baby juice n' juice me sa more) filly that could have won pulling a sled. She couldn't get the lead, and quit. Now, she drops down, and will have better legs in her 2nd start. They will have to bring a pretty decent filly to beat her. She looks like she has a decent middle move(it's just that the Ward filly was a runaway rocket.) There are some others that could fire, but I think you gotta beat this one. In the distant future, we will be rid of guys like Mullins n' Frankel. Until then, they will just keep shuffing chalk down your throat. That's what they know how to do best.

PeteMugg 06-26-2008 02:45 PM

Too much money not to throw a few bucks on a chalky ticket.

6,7/5/3,5/3/5/3

Good luck to all playing.

declansharbor 06-26-2008 02:53 PM

Not sure if I am playing all of these, would need to find an investor in the next hour, as I need to leave some money in my account for a few spot plays tomorrow. If not, Im going at it alone, probably with the first ticket and a few other $2 straights.

6,7 // 3,5,8 // 3,6,9 // 3,6 // 5 // 3 = $72

7 // 5,8,9 // 1,9 // 3 // 1,5 // 3,5 = $48

2,7 // 5,8,10 // 6,9 // 3 // 1,4,5 // 3 = $72

Best of luck to those playing this thing today!!!

Herding 101

SCUDSBROTHER 06-26-2008 04:08 PM

They always overlook herding. Horse is intimidated and forced to run wider n' wider(on the slowest part of the track, )and they don't think it matters. They can't see how the horse keeps having to respond to what the winner does? He is thinking about that horse coming over. He has a right to just run straight, and he is being kept from being able to do that(repeatedly.)

You're vulnerable to the 7 and 8 in the 5th race.Jamie already beat that 10. Jamie likes the track, distance, and is 5 for 20. That 10 is 3 for 35. Atleast replace the 10 with the 8(or the 7=Mullins Magic.)
