NBA draft

Very interesting to see what happens.

The biggest suprise to me is how high Westbrook of UCLA is rated.
I see is one of the best, if not the best athlete in the draft. I know he
played very good D against Mayo. But they have him as a projected
point? I really dont see that. AT all.

Beasely is apparently shrinking as we speak.

And people have Kevin Love going as high as 3 and some have him out of the top 10. Lots of disagreement. I await to see the onslaught for prospective point guards. And Lopez going so high? Jeez, I would never have expected that.

I think there is going to be some kickback after all these supposed PG's go in the top 15.

FROM Top to bottom i think this draft is really really weak... i mean, i dont think anyone is a future superstar... best player in here might be Bayliss from Arizona, explosive combo guard. beasley might be a good fit in miami, but dam they dont seem to even want him, kevin durant and beasley are very good friends and i have read that seattle wants to move to 2 for beasley, that might make some sense.... i also read marion and the #2 to denver for carmelo, i love wade and i dont think that trade would work, i dont like marion, but i'd rather have him and the 2 then melo.

When Lopez is mentioned in the top 10 its a bad draft

Joe Alexander, the guy the Knicks should have taken...

Cannon Shell 06-26-2008 07:25 PM

I wonder how Kevin Love feels being that his new team may be worse than his old one?

might be the best in this draft, someone needs to jump on him, seattle should trade there other 5 picks and move up for him, start 2 rookies in the back court

DJ OMG THIS IS THE BIGGEST BUST, AND DONT THEY HAVE RAYMOND FELTON ?

Cannon Shell 06-26-2008 07:25 PM

Augistine to the Bobcats...Peegarden will be flipping out shortly

They worked him. I just dont see a PG from watching UCLA games.
I know he did not play the position, but he did not look that ball wise.

And there goes Augustin. How many PG's is that now? I really think
this is a bit absurd.

Bayless should have stayed in school and may have been top 3 next year.

No way Love is a bust. He will get 15 pts and 8 rebounds by season end.
More important he is actually a basketball player. His skill level with hands
and feet are fantastic for a man his size. He is smart. He will not be a great
player, but he is completely solid. He has the best chance to make more of
an impact immediately than any of the players so far other than Beasely imo.

i guess not...i mean lopez is a chump, but he would have been a better fit for the bobcats, would take pressure of emaka

Cannon Shell 06-26-2008 07:31 PM

At least Lopez cut his hair. How many doobies do you think he and Sean Williams will be smoking?

i think bust, especially in memphis... well i guess not, i mean you say yourself not a great player, i thought in the top 5 you expect a great player... i mean maybe he can be good, 12-8 max i would guess

Cannon Shell 06-26-2008 07:32 PM

Brook Lopez, the next Raef LaFrentz

I dont like Love nearly as much as you. Though i can honestly say that I wont be watching his progress on NBATV much. Not to mention Memphis hasnt done much right lately.

You have to have some foundation.
He is not a super athlete. Love is a very good basketball player.
He understands the game, it comes naturally to him. I was hoping (praying miracle type stuff) he would drop to the Spurs. He would start and contribute.

Another PG. Holy moses.

They would say, "He has a bit of a weight and height problem, but Simon is a hard nosed competitor who has sneaky skills around the buffet table. He has a good work ethic and is a good teammate. Good pick by the grizzlies at number 5" about me.

If he is the real deal than it should matter what team he plays for, no?

i dont know about that...
orginizations like the pacers, grizzlies, bobcats, players seem to go there and die...

I admit to a huge prejudice to good footwork, combined with quick strong hands in bigmen. I have seen too many Fransico Elsons come to the Spurs and leave. They can jump out of the gym. Make fantastic blocks into the crowd giving the ball right back to the other team.
Cant pass, hold on to the ball, grab quick passes for easy layups, set screens... you know all the important little stuff.
