He can't run in the Secretariat Stakes, but he can run in the MILLION!!

ateamstupid 06-23-2008 10:52 AM

The Secretariat is for three-year-olds only, but he's probably gonna be there at least for the ARL 'Cap, and if he runs well there, The Million.

If Curlin goes in the Arlington Million, I think he will have his hands full with Einstein, nevermind Daytona if they decide to run. But its great for horseracing.

hockey2315 06-23-2008 11:24 AM

Daytona wouldn't be a factor.

Great for horseracing....

Substantially lower takouts

The elimination of undetectable designer drugs

Why not? He's got to be better than The Tin Man from what he's shown this year.

I'm not sure I understand, what do you mean?

hockey2315 06-23-2008 11:30 AM

Because I think he's better going shorter and he'll face better horses. . .

I wouldn't be so sure of this. While it depends on who is going to ride him here, if they let him loose, he could be tough. He is going to get better too, he isn't a mile turf horse, I really think that 10f is well within his scope

What I listed are things that would actually be " great for horse racing ".....as opposed to your suggesting that about Curlin.

I'm glad Curlin will be losing on the turf soon but I guess I don't think it's " great for racing. " Will the race be nationally televised?

EASY, half the woman clerks can't even hear let alone would you want them to be TOPLESS!!!!!

there are about three Arlington employees that I wouldn't mind seeing topless, and one is the program girl. She is about 45
years old, kept her 24 year old body, but the personality isn't there, think she is pissed about a bunch of old people wanting to look at programs for free...

The other is pacheneo but I am not sure if there is much there to look at it, might be hiding the texas tigbitties

WORKING THERE??

It has become a decent party place on Friday nights because of "party on the deck" but still for a little bit older, 35-50ish....

CSC 06-23-2008 12:40 PM

Sounds like the only thing missing are bouncers, a DJ, a few rum and cokes.

The bouncers there are like 62 year old man that just walk around all day, they haven't bounced a single thing out of there, got the other stuff taken care of.

I am planning my 3rd appearance of the season at Arlington for 7/12. It will interesting to see if the champion steed takes to the turf though I cannot imagine doing anything other than betting against him.

those bouncers have a cushy job, i've never seen them do anything other than strut around and occasionally grab a coffee.

july 12th i will be there if the big horse is coming to town. i guess if things go according to plan it would likely be his last domestic start.

Well, you could always become an ex-pat and move to Paris.

I know I would like to.

They have yelled at me for parking in the fire lane, but that is about it

I do wish they would police the gold level parking, it drives me nuts....

its hard to believe you would do that, and be so far away from saratoga.

i love visiting almost every every country, but it doesn't take me long to find numerous reasons why i would hate to live in any of them.

I'm leaning towards the one in bold above as great for horseracing.

For some reason this isn't talked about enough.
