Linda Rice entry here in Bel 5.
This will decide if I play the Wood tonight or take the night off.

How in the world did the Serpe get off at 7-1? Competitive with Parading and Giant Gizmo last summer at the Spa... :zz:

Hard Luck Hooves...

took stones to stay with the 2 in the 7th after Gomez jumped off... multi-races plays have been kickin my butt of late......but you remain da man...

Since when is that a negative on the BEL turf (or elsewhere)?

infield_line 06-13-2008 06:30 PM

Ahh... because

Gomez probably has the choice to ride whichever mount he thinks is most competitive, and wins with live horses on a pretty regular basis?? The 13 was game, with different post he's probably around at the end.

the_fat_man 06-13-2008 06:34 PM

I would kind of doubt that. Cornelio blew the turn and still won for fun.

infield_line 06-13-2008 06:53 PM

True, True and Unrelated.....

Gomez chosing to get on a horse would be as positive a sign, as chosing not to ride another one. The PP's on the 2 were far from an overlay on the field.

I was trying to complement Hooves on yet another nice effort since the 2 paid almost $40.....

In hindsight it's almost always competely logical

got to be able to finish...

Hooves is a fine handicapper. No debating that point.

I've been following the 2. He has (less than 'obvious') excuses in both his previous races. Horses like Victorious Affair are why the game is both beatable and very very interesting.

infield_line 06-13-2008 08:45 PM

And I tip my hat......

I looked at the 2... and was influenced in the end to mistakenly to bet a horse that looked like cheap speed because Gomez took the mount (and in fact he lacked the class). That's why Hooves and you do better than I do, cause you looked past the simple decision...

ahhh... a very long education it is.......
