I just had the best pizza of my life....

thought it was important enough to share. It's called the twist and it has yellow peppers, jalepeno peppers, pineapple, chicken, a little honey mustard, and some homemade ranch "twisted" around the entire thing. Damn was it good.

What is your perfect pizza?

Mortimer 06-11-2008 03:06 PM

STEVE!

Get this garbage back in the smart threads.

Coach Pants 06-11-2008 03:09 PM

I had to do a double take on the thread title. Thought it said penis.

The guy who owns this small pizza joint called Bernie O's Pizza has went to numerous pizza tasting competitions and has a shitload of first places with this pizza.

The Twist ….. in our quest to build the ultimate pizza, we put our heads together to figure out just what made food taste “good.” Turns out, it comes down to contrast and balance of flavors and textures. We tossed around different ideas & ingredients until we had the perfect pizza which we now call ” The Twist.” The result is a perfectly balanced combination of crispy & tart, cool and warm in every bite. Try one and see why it was voted Top 3 in the nation by Pizza Today Magazine. ”

BRAVO BRAVO :tro: :tro: :tro:

I have eaten a LOT of pizza in my lifetime (trust me on that one) and if I saw that on a menu it would be an autotoss. That **** would never pass my lips.

I'm not into contrasting flavors, I'm into good pizza.

Unbelievable.

Scav 06-11-2008 03:48 PM

There is a place near Arlington called Gators...They have won WingFest in Chicago 8 years running.

They have a pizza there that is their special garlic hot sauce in chicken, with blue chesse crumbles all over the pizza, now, I am usually not down for things like this, but it was unbelievable.....

I like my pizza with pepperonis, ham, and bacon. I heard great things about this so decided to live life on the edge today, and damn am I glad I did.

Mortimer 06-11-2008 03:50 PM

I think if someone started a " Don't ya just love being stung by killer bees?" thread....

it's homemade allright. but it's not actually ranch.

that's what makes it so twisted.

One word. Four syllables.

Tacconelli's...

If anyone is ever in Philly, look up Tacconelli's pizzeria. The one in Port Richmond is the original, but they had a falling out with their son Vince, who took his schtick to NJ, approx. 10 minutes over teh Tacony Palmyra Bridge. I suggest the original one, but you have to call by 1 p.m. to reserve your doughs for that night. The one in NJ, you can just walk in and sit down. BYOB for both of them.

As for the pizza...Thin to medium crust, garlicky, and just full of flavor. The absolute best pizza you'll ever have. You will not be let down. The price (around 14 a pie) indicates quality. You get that and more. Trust me, as I was raised by a pizza afficionado. .sp?? Its the BEST...

Oh and ND, you couldnt force feed me one of those pies...Too much going on there...But hey, different strokes for different folks...
