diets ?
read a book where it says fasting, is the best way to diet... consuming only juices and water.... anyone know anything about this, i am a tad over weight, and might consider this.
|
The South Beach Diet is the best...but then again I'm a crazy health freak so eating that healthy doesn't bother me.
|
I've heard that the Mediterranean Diet is good and easy to follow...what's a "tad" to you?
|
Eat clean. Diets don't work.
Read this... http://www.johnberardi.com/articles/...on/7habits.htm Learn it and live it. |

Books say a lot of things.

because from reading it, it does kinda make sense the best way to lose weight and reset your system, would be not to eat anything. common sense says putting no food in, would make it very easy to lose weight |
You need calories to burn calories. . . and your body needs certain nutrients that you can't get from juice and water. Juice isn't really that good for you anyways.

calories to burn calories is a myth, if im putting nothing in, and walking a hour a day, "even if im not walking" but not eating, you have to lose weight |

thats from the link you just gave me |
"A competitive bodybuilder with no known health complications, i.e., diabetes, epilepsy, angina, etc., might find it advantageous for both health and appearance to fast two weeks before a contest."
|
Are you preparing for a bodybuilding competition?

eat less, move more. fads don't work, fasts don't work-and you won't lose if you're hungry, as you'll end up bingeing.
eating is a routine. you need to change what's wrong with that routine. and add a bit of exercise, everyone needs more than they're getting anyway. some cell phones ( i know mine does ) have a fitness setting, with a pedometer-i keep mine on my waist, when i think about it, and it counts my steps during the day. the goal is 10,000. at any rate, you need to change some parts of your lifestyle. no need for drastic measures. giving up sodas loaded with sugar would be a very good, and easy place to start. |

Feb. of 1994, I was 21 years old, 5'8" (really 5' 7 3/4", but who's counting:o )and weighed almost 210lbs. July 1st, 1995 I had lost 55lbs. It took 16 months, but I did it the right way. Here's what worked for me:
1. Gave up fast food COMPLETELY 2. Gave up sodas COMPLETELY (It's the worst sh*t you can ever put in your body. The carbonation absolutely eats away at the calcium in your bones) 3. No meals after 6:00 pm 4. Exercise...both lifting and cardio. 5. Needed the patience of Job, as your body goes through massive changes. |
