Gelding question

Can someone with Formulator (I got a mac and can't use it anymore until they come out with the new web version) tell me if Exchanging Kisses (BEL R6 tomorrow) was listed as a gelding last race?

Thanks

blackthroatedwind 05-29-2008 07:04 PM

He was listed as a colt last time but Florida horses are unreliable. I forwarded this horse to Jan so if you listen to the NYRA show she should have the answer.

I'm starting to REALLY like this horse. . .

blackthroatedwind 05-29-2008 09:23 PM

I think you're picking a super tough race to REALLY like any horse. I understand, the dam was very good on the turf, but this race is full of possibilities.

Don't get me wrong, I could see taking a big price on this horse, and would use it in the Pick-4, but there is a lot of guessing going on in here.

The 5th at AP might be right up your alley. Check it out.

I don't do breeding; there's a 1st time turfer in there from a stakes winning mare that's thrown 10 winners from 11 starters and 5 turf winners.

8:1 morning line.

Ya, it is a tough leg. I plan on backing him up underneath some others. It just seems like a bunch of these horses have been disappointments that are running for a tag because things didn't pan out and they've proven to not be very good - but this horse has every right to improve off the trainer change, surface switch, and the possible gelding factor.

AP 5th

Interesting race from my perspective. I went over on my monthly allotment of PPs but just from the entries I like the ped on the 6. . .

the_fat_man 05-29-2008 09:57 PM

go to http://www.horse-races.net/library/l...rformances.htm

and look under Pletcher for fee PPs for the race.

Pletcher and Mott are both in there.

Mother **** paying for PPs or DATA of any sort (or programs): the FAT WEIGH is the FREE WEIGH

hockey2315 05-29-2008 10:04 PM

Cool, thanks. I like that 6 a little.

riding the wind

the_fat_man 05-30-2008 12:49 PM

I just mentioned that horse within the context of this thread. While it ran well first time out and can win today, it's certainly not a stickout.

Just in case anyone is following along here.

hockey2315 05-30-2008 03:45 PM

owww - 2nd at 21-1 . . . thought kent was going to get him up for a second. . .

Good job on this horse. Strong 2nd behind the favorite @ 21-1, paid $19 to place.

the_fat_man 05-30-2008 03:47 PM

as fine a ride as you'd want by Kent (though I haven't seen the headon yet).

sat inside patiently; perfect trip

bad luck

ontheoutside 05-30-2008 03:54 PM

thanks

Ya can't really complain about the trip - first Diamondrella now this. . . I feel sick

blackthroatedwind 05-30-2008 05:17 PM

Overall it was a good trip, but if he had been able to get outside the winner, and in the clear, he would have won.

Good call and frustrating. Had the exacta but the other way would have been very good.

On the other hand, the favorite might have won with a clean trip so overall we were lucky.

That's pretty much an understatement. Gomez just butchered that horse.

Won going away at 7-1. But did I bet it?! Of course not. . .

ontheoutside 05-30-2008 06:04 PM

to hockey

your 2 for 2 for me today hockey
you said that you liked the 6 in the 5th at arlington because of pedigree
so because i had a few dollars because of your 1st opinion
i took a shot with your second opinion i wheeled the 6 in the exacta
2dollars[BIG BET FOR ME] and it hit for 170
thanks again

the_fat_man 05-30-2008 06:04 PM

Too bad you didn't follow up.

BTW, that race was taken off the turf.

hockey2315 05-30-2008 06:07 PM

I know. . . That wouldn't have mattered to me in this situation, though. Just being stupid. . .

ontheoutside 05-30-2008 06:08 PM

thanks to hockey

u did it again for me
while someone like the a horse in the 5th at arlington you said you loked quick at pp and like the breed on number 6
so i wheeled it [2 DOLLAR WHEEL FOR ME BIG BET FOR ME LOL] AND IT HIT 170 exacta
