I believe Northern Dancer should be on that list, 2 of his sons and 2 of his grandson's made the list, his more recent sires with his blood are Danehill, El Prado and Deputy Minister. However if he isn't I'd vote for Sadler's Wells as my second choice.

Voted for Mr. Prospector, would've been for Slew but he wasn't an option.

Aren't both Sadler's and Obviously Indy still producing? Who knows how many more Graded winners Indy will produce? I thought Sadler's is still breeding privately(does that mean nobody watches) as well..Sunday Silience legitimized a nations racing industry so in some context he is clearly the most important. Is he the best? Not sure what the best means:

produced the most G1 winners
produced the most money earned
produced the fastest single horse
produced the most son's to be successsful as Stallions

For my money it's Mr. P and Sunday Silience but how do you go wrong with Cozar
