CSC 05-25-2008 09:22 PM

It was between him and Cozar

turf fan 05-25-2008 09:25 PM

Storm Cat. I do not believe any other stallion stood for 500K.

Rileyoriley 05-25-2008 09:28 PM

Danehill

I believe Northern Dancer should be on that list, 2 of his sons and 2 of his grandson's made the list, his more recent sires with his blood are Danehill, El Prado and Deputy Minister. However if he isn't I'd vote for Sadler's Wells as my second choice.

DEES3 05-25-2008 09:44 PM

Voted for Mr. Prospector, would've been for Slew but he wasn't an option.

Is he the best? Not sure what the best means:

produced the most G1 winners
produced the most money earned
produced the fastest single horse
produced the most son's to be successsful as Stallions

For my money it's Mr. P and Sunday Silience but how do you go wrong with Cozar

presque isles finest

The Indomitable DrugS 06-08-2008 06:22 PM

No Doubt!

Cozar's Coup's 2nd place finish in yesterday's feature at 8/1 odds lowered the record to just 8-for-15 with four 2nd place finishes.

A slight improvement over going 1-for-69 with five 2nd's at Tampa.
