Whatever happened to.....

Does anyone else have a mental list of missing horses?

I'm lucky..... the number 1 on my list, Gotaghostofachance, finally posted a workout a week or two ago.

Does anyone know whatever happened to.....

Colony Band
Dover Dere
Khyber Pass
General John B.
Singhalese
Finery
or R Lady Joy?

Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

I love Gotaghostofachance. I had a nice score on him back on the Breeders Cup undercard (1st race). I had a nice Double to Scrappy T in the 2nd, but JB and Scrappy couldnt get it done for me,,,:(

I can still see that horse blocked with no where to go. That was one of the most exciting finishes that I have ever won on. I guess we could say he had a Gotaghostofachance.

my miss storm cat 07-24-2006 11:36 AM

I love that horse and yeah, that was a great race. If you heard screaming from Section 2E at the BC that was me. :D

Remember the one (or two) before that, when he was 2nd to Imperialism? Took my breath away.

He was pointed to the Clark and disappeared. Slightly injured, I've since heard. Soooo happy he's back.

Watch out, world.....

my miss storm cat 07-25-2006 01:14 AM

What about King of Happiness? Anyone?

I always liked him.....

my miss storm cat 09-01-2006 05:03 PM

Does anyone know what happened to Uraib, the little girl who kinda forgot how to win?

I'm also wondering about Miss Fortunate..... no workouts in forever.

Thanks.

Pedigree Ann 09-01-2006 06:30 PM

One has to think that mares who have a fair amount of black type and haven't worked in forever are retired and waiting to become mommies.

My memory sucks and Steve may be able to confirm this (not that my memory sucks but that SWB is in training), but I think I heard Doug O on ATRAB a couple weeks ago say that SWB was back in light training.

slotdirt 04-05-2007 09:08 AM

R Lady Joy just worked two weeks ago. She had a MISERABLE season last year. I mean up the track in every race.

tiznowthegreat 04-05-2007 09:09 AM

Stevie Wonderboy has been in training for a little while now. Merv Griffin was beaming with excitement San Felipe day talking about him.

What about Shakespeare?

Danzig 04-05-2007 10:05 AM

Scrappy T was busy losing races throughout this spring.

Cajungator26 05-22-2007 07:56 PM

Closing Argument is standing at stud down here in Florida and Bandini is standing at Walmac in Kentucky.

he ran fifth next out, and then scratched back in october--he was supposed to run in the ontario derby...nothing on bloodhorse after that.

Here's one I lost track of a few years ago: Kaufy Mate. He would be 7 or more by now. He had won a stakes race in FL, I think the AVentura then almost died from some illness. Then came off his sick bed to win another, then disappeared. SOmeone said he was still real sick, so I assume the worst, but did this one ever make it at all? Nice grey as you might guess from the name..

Scrappy T trained once this year then went back to the farm, what version of the Form to you read?

AngelSita 05-23-2007 11:03 AM

"Quarter cracks have delayed the comeback of juvenile champion Stevie Wonderboy, trainer Doug O'Neill reported May 9."

"'We're still a few months away from him racing again, unfortunately,' O'Neill said."

Linny 05-23-2007 11:05 AM

Back in Feb there was a DRF report that seaside Retreat was back to work.
DRF has this...http://www.drf.com/workoutsForHorseA...o?rNo=03032639

cmorioles 05-23-2007 11:29 AM

I suspect a lot of these missing horses have made their way here to Belgium.
