Better Than Honour 05-10-2008 05:26 PM

Bring on Big Brown

Casino Drive, the son of Better Than Honour was more than impressive today off a long layoff. He will run all day too. Three in a row for Better Than Honour?

jwkniska 05-10-2008 05:27 PM

If Big Brown wins in MD.... should be overbet in NY with Dutrow, so my $$ will definitely be on Casino Drive.

Bobby Fischer 05-10-2008 05:34 PM

big solid horse

real impressive

TheSpyder 05-10-2008 05:35 PM

Nice horse for sure..hmmm, someone that has run less than BB in the Belmont...PETA would be happy.

Spyder

Big Brown could beat him but the value is definitely going to be Casino Drive. They killed him with late money today but I hope I get 2-1 in the Belmont. Maybe even 5-2.

Better Than Honour 05-10-2008 05:38 PM

That was done in racehorse time off a layoff in his first start here. His Belmont could be huge. As someone pointed out to me he is actually a 3/4 to Rags who took Curlin down in the Belmont. He looks like the real deal.

Jockey?

ddthetide 05-10-2008 05:40 PM

impressive but is he ready for a mile and a half?

the_fat_man 05-10-2008 05:40 PM

The
time
has
come
for (Big Brown)
to
say

SAYONARA

I can see it now, a remake of 'A Girl Named Tamiko', with Kent cast in the Laurence Harvey role. (I wasn't available)

prudery 05-10-2008 05:50 PM

Did this horse not turn up his nose at the opposition ????
He treated the dignified Belmont walking ring like his personal paddock to buck and fart in ...
And went on to show his tail to this lot with authority, if not insult ...
Great show by this horse ...
He has the look, the pedigree, the attitude, and oh yeah, the SOB can run ...

He has done that in both his starts. That was one scary performance for the second race of his career.

Don't get too excited.. Although this mare looks like you could breed Charasmatic to her and you would still get a graded winner..lol

Saw his maiden race, but didn't see him in the paddock pre race that day ...
Gotta love this guy ....

freddymo 05-10-2008 05:56 PM

The colt beat swill relax there wasn't a true graded colt in the field

cmorioles 05-10-2008 05:57 PM

I did some preliminary work on the figures, and I'm guessing this one gets around a 103 to 105 Beyer...not too shabby.

What are you going to give the Darley FTS 94?

Are you pulling numbers out of a hat?

I confirmed with BogS

cmorioles 05-10-2008 06:08 PM

98 to 100

freddymo 05-10-2008 06:12 PM

the colt was very impressive unforunately he is an Unbridled Song so unless he heads to the grass will only see him once or twice a year till he breakdown or gets retired to stud to breed more fast pieces of fragile crap.

hi_im_god 05-10-2008 06:17 PM

i like the 3rd race off a birth angle.

and he's flexible. he can run clockwise and counter clockwise.

That is the second reference you have made to Casino Drive apparently offering value. Let's see, a horse that had run once, halfway around the world, and beat a field of only first time starters, was just 6:5 in a NY Stakes race in his second career start. I would say " value " is something he will never offer.

So, Mint Lane ran in the mid 90s? I guess a pig will be flying by my window any minute.

The gap between them should be about 5 points by the charts.

Perhaps, but I'm sure that some of our resident chalk lovers can come up with some "inexpensive" combinations that will net a part of the no doubt thousand-dollar-plus trifecta payout (e.g., BB, CD w/ BB, CD w/ all).

Casino Drive is, but I think Freddy was talking about Unbridled's Heart. (The horse that won the 5th.)

Felt like about four lengths or 7 points to me at the very least.

Whatever.....they're both good horses. The more the merrier. Certainly a welcome improvement from the dreck we were force fed during the supposed TC preps.

MisterB 05-10-2008 06:50 PM

CD looked like he was saying thank you for letting me race again. Exacta payed nice with a Fav on top. Where was that ALL button.

Interesting

Considering his overall lack of seasoning ... he was very impressive.
