Arlington introduces cashless wagering
http://www.arlingtonpark.com/news/ar...echnology-here
I like this idea, at least they continue to improve the equipment and technology. other changes to the wagering menu include: rolling doubles for the whole card. superfecta carryover. (how can it carryover with dime supers?) High 5 (coming later in the meet.) Pick 6 going to $1 minimum. |
Looks like some good changes. Is the dime super available on all races where a super is available? It not, then I agree...how can a super carry.
|
Will there be a pin code to bet?. If not and you lose your card after a big hit or deposit people are going to be angry!
|
I likeee the $1 Pick 6...
|
A few more reasons why I can't wait for ten days from now to get here.

I don't know how I feel about cashless wagering, I like having tickets in my hand so I can either feel the sense of satisfaction or the sense of being an idiot. don't get that from ticketless wagering. I am willing to bet that this won't go over well with all the yups and milfs that show up, they like tickets also so they can show everyone they had $5 to win on the 7/5 |

Seriously though, everything looks great..Turf course looks about 8 inches deep already |
Got to make it up for a weekend this season. I love downtown, the ease of the burbs and my wife has a keen interest in the lasagna at Geno's East. Maybe we could parlay the trip when the Cards are in town to play the Cubbies?

They had something similar years ago at The Mudbug on Weed Street. You put money into an account there and you bet on a hand held betting machine. The big problem is you couldnt cancel wagers if you made a mistake. Can be dangerous if you aren't careful. |

Joe's....that's the gay bar across the street from The Mudbug. Never been in there. |

The $1 play may entice me to play once in a while if I like the card. My next P6 play at Arlington will be my first P6 play at Arlington, there just isn't enough in their pool to get excited over. With the $1 play, I will be more tempted to take a shot. |
Is it safe to say when this becomes widespread breakage will be eliminated?
Sorry, it isn't April 1st I know. |

I go to track with 500, if I leave with 200 I am smoked for 300, if I leave with 1500, I am up a dime. TICKETS ONLY HERE MY FRIEND |

99.9% of my wagering has been ticketless for the last 15 years.

Why would anyone advocate for keeping "tickets"? About as silly an argument as there ever has been.
I actually sent Canterbury Park, my home track, an e-mail in 2000 about doing this very thing. They offered this during a contest (where you bet off of a card that has a starting balance, put in your pin number, etc). I was so pissed when I lost a vouchure for $400 that I thought there had to be a better way. I always thought the tracks would resist this because of the tickets that are not cashed by idiot betters that don't know they won. That uncashed money rolls back to the track. |

For some reason, girls loving going into the area. I was almost coaxed into going with these girls one night until my friend that knows Chicago really well told me what I was getting myself into. Let me note one caution that I can care less about ones sexual preference, I just would rather not be in that environment, being looked at like a piece of meat |

Or, maybe you're even more fearful that nobody will find you attractive. |
What I'm thinking right now would swiftly be deleted if composed and sent.
