I have heard many. Please help the blind followers of this decent middle level stake horse explain why this horse has lost against every decent field he has run against.

My favorite so far:

He didnt like the track when losing to Carthage at Golden Gate even though GG is his home track.

Please add the best that you have heard and maybe some new ones that can aid Gilchrist and company.

And tell me this, since you're such an expert.... When was the last time any Sprinter gave 8 lbs+ in a G2 race? If you say it doesn't matter, then you prove your baseless.

He was sore and they shipped him across the country anyway. If he had won would anyone being saying he was sore?

Of course not. They would have been yukking it up proclaiming what geniuses they were for choosing the Summit of Speed for Fog.

Who gives a damn? It's quite obvoius that someone here (cough, cough Dalakhani) has nothing better to do than sit around and bash a horse that has won more money in his career than 99.9% of thoroughbreds will. I could give a damn what excuse the trainers give as it was quite clear from watching the race once that he wasnt himself. No excuses needed...

Okay, ive got an idea. Lets get LITF into therapy right now. We can get a horse whisperer out to wherever he is currently being stable and lets figure out why "he wasnt himself".

Perhaps we can get him some Paxil?

Maybe he has A.D.D and we can get him some horsey Ritalin?

You're about ready to get proved wrong. I just pulled up all of LITF's PPs and have discovered some crucial information. I will post it tomorrow because I have to go now. It tells me that he wasn't right because he runs in patterns and his patterns have been off this year indicating that something is wrong with him. According to the patterns he runs in, he should have ran a top in the BC Sprint. I seriously don't think it was the fact that he can't face GI sprinters. I want to get to the bottom of this. I could be wrong, but I do think that something went wrong with LITF around BC Sprint time. The numbers indicate that something went wrong. He hasn't been running the patterns since the BC Sprint.

There are plenty of sprinters that have given 8+ pounds. Why, oh why, would you think that was such an accomplishment to give 8+ lbs and lose badly?

Like, um, its not even worth discussing anymore. Horse's career low Beyer coming into this is 97 with an average of 106 and runs an 86 and nothing is amiss? If you cant see that something was wrong (perhaps its as simple as the horse has no desire to look another horse in the eye and fight) its just, like...not worth it...

I can only imagine the excitement and glee that Bold and Dalakhani must have had when LITF lost...That's great, you picked a horse that would not win, but did not pick the winner, so you had a 10/11 chance of being right, that's some great analysis, really makes me respect your insight and knowledge...

Ummm ... like we weren't handicapping the race ... but kind of like you know responding to the people who were so judgmental ... and they were saying like this horse is really so great ... and like we're "Hello ... then why does this great horse like lose every time he runs against good horses?" ... and they're like "He wasn't himself ... he was horny" ... and we're like "Yeah ... tell me all about it ... The funniest thing about this whole thing to me is this. BB said first post that he wasnt making the thread because people on here thought the horse was great, it was people on other "pretty pony" message boards. Then why post it here in the first place???

Why do you care? It's evident that you can't pick winners, so why are you even commenting on LITF? Let others think what they want. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion (even if it doesn't match yours. ;))

My personal opinion is that LITF is an animal and not a robot. He's not going to be perfect and he's allowed to lose. He's no claimer... he's a better than average horse who has won more money than most thoroughbreds ever will. I would be a happy camper if I owned a "loser" like him.

I feel dumber for reading that...

Anyone with half a brain and knowledge about horses would know that LITF is not an all time great, but he's a good horse that's won his fair share of races and money. Why do you want to be patted on the back for stating the obvious? Now, if you would have said Nightmare Affair or Silver Train would have won, then I would have been impressed, but these LITF threads are rediculous.
