5 college bball games to jumpstart the weekend
 

College weekends start on Thursday, so here are my 5 plays for the night.

Virginia +6 at G-Tech
Dayton -1.5 at Lasalle
Xavier -10.5 vs. Duquesne
Michigan +7.5 at Minnesota (hate Michigan, like the play)
Arizona +2 at Washington


Im out for the night to watch the Fighting Irish extend their home winning streak against Pitt, but no bet on the game for me.

Who gets smacked worse men or women?

What will the Combined loss total be between the two teams?

My guess is men will lose worse and combined loss total will be 60 points or higher!

Thanks! We need to "claim" some JC kids and get rid of some of the cheap scholarship glue factory players! SJU can no longer keep the better NY Breds to stay home anymore. Pittino takes them back to Louisville to run. We have had to bring in the leftovers who are "reserve not met" at the sales and are not purchased even by smaller mid level programs. We're doing a lot of gate training with the younger talent, but race day, they won't race. Slow out of the gate, always spitting the bit vs Georgetown,Louisville et al, and all the whipping at halftime can't make up for 20 length (point) deficits. Our bloodstock agents need to do a better job recruiting and refilling the stable here! Too many Green Monkeys here that are not winners :D

Also very tough for small barns like SJU to compete with all the powerful football barns with high priced talent and tons of $$$ to spend on players. Phipps stable we're not anymore.

There could be a ***upset special*** on saturday nite.... The Vols of
Tennessee could give Memphis fits.

Need to make some "deals" before the sales

March Madness is the best time of the year.

Their only chance would be if they were. Memphis by 14 enroute to 40-0.

SJU men lose by 30

SJU women lose by 57

Total: 87 points...even worse than I predicted. Even Cannon Shell couldn't right this sinking ship!

Oh for the glory days....:(

You're a trainer for St. Johns? If so, I am truely jealous of the job that you have.

Not unless Calipari decides to actually start coaching them. The free throw shooting is embarassing enough but not boxing out is unacceptable.

Memphis v Tenn was a joke of a game. I cannot believe these 2 teams are ranked 1 and 2. Tenn shot 37.5 from the field and 66.7 from the line. Memphis shot 39.7 from the field and 47.1 from the line. Tenn had 15 TO and Memphis has 11. College b-ball is just flat out horrible. No flow, no game plan---just a bunch of kids who have no clue how to play together as a team.

If they dont learn to free throw shoot there trip to March Madness may be a very short one. Its a shame that guys can stand alone and drain a three..but on a foul line, they can't find the basket.
