Harlington

Does anybody know what ever happened to Harlington? I recall he was retired after getting injured in the 2006 Pimlico Special. I tried to look him up on the stallion register website, but it came back stallion not found. Thanks

I believe he is still in training with Pletcher and is expected to race this year if he stays healthy.

Sniper,

I take it Harlington hasn't started since the Pimlico Special? I just figured with his bloodlines, Unbridled out of Serena's Song (Rahy), he would be more valuable as a stallion if he hasn't run in almost 2 years.

lemoncrush 02-13-2008 02:55 PM

He won a big race at GP last year.
Can't remember which one, though.
He may have raced once after that, then went back to the sidelines.

blackthroatedwind 02-13-2008 02:58 PM

He came back for one cameo appearance last year at Belmont to beat me out of a Pick-4.

Last entry notification I have is May 24, 2007 at BELMONT PARK in Race 8.

Is he a Melynk horse?

Yes. I feel like they paid like $2 million for him.

KirisClown 02-13-2008 03:56 PM

Outside of his dam.. what is the appeal of this horse?

Following the career of a low level claimer would be more satisfying...

Then he wont be going back to Pletcher. Those 2 have seemed to have parted company.

I'll have to re-add him to mine as well. I deleted him some time ago thinking he had retired. Hope he makes it back to the races sometime soon.

Actually, he won the GP handicap in 2006. Time flies, apparently.
I think he's had a total of 4 races in the past 3 years.

My appeal is that Harlington was from Unbridled's his last crop, and I was curious to see how he was performing as a stallion. I didn't know he was still/back in training. Also, I'm following Eddington, Mustanfar, and Saarland. As you can tell, I'm looking for a son of Unbridled to pass on his stamina genes.

He beat me that day as well.....I bet the Stan Hough horse that was second at like 30-1. Harlingbum, of course, had a perfect trip that day.

He runs by appointment only.

Oh wow he's still in training? I'm going to add him to my stable mail!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yippee!!!!

I like Harlington. I'm glad he's still in training. Do you people want him to be retired or something?

You're assuming Albertrani won't have long retired from the game when that happens.

The only thing that will surprise me more than Harlington running is winning.

I don't have his PPs but...from what I remember the few times he shows up, he tends to win. So why would it be a surprise?

Because I will be surprised if his new trainer is as successful with this horse as his former trainer.

KY_Sasquash 02-15-2008 09:26 AM

Ive noticed a lot of the Melnyk horses running for Albertrani-does Pletcher not train for Melnyk anymore?
