Tampa Thursday: $39k Carryover
I am livid. I was working on a post commenting on each horse in the Pick 6 with the intention of finding possible singles for tomorrows carryover. I finished the post, and was proofreading it when I lost my internet connection. When I got the internet going, I lost the post.
Took me all day to type it up in between work interruptions. Depressing. I may attempt an abbreviated version later. |
I am assuming sloppy and off turf tomorrow?

Going to wait till tomorrow to see the scratches in the 7th and 10th before I invest too much time...At a quick glance, I've got a few ideas for the first two legs...the 8th race looks impossibly wide open though |

there coming from every direction in that one...And looks like one of those races where you go 5 deep and wind up catching the stinking favorite. Speaking of which the 4 Max is Not appears pretty solid - only beaten a 1/2 length at the same condition over a good track (should be similar tomorrow). But Pecorado has his own horse in as well coming off the extended lay off - I hate seeing that in a race especially since the 4 may be the rabbit for his own horse...Siempre Verde on the big drop (open16 and N1X to 8N2L) shouldn't have that much trouble going turf to dirt, but can she handle the cut back in distance?, the lone work going 4 over the track says probably not... Asheba's Glitter may wake up, Irish Fight might too... Thanks Mike - now I'm as confused as you :D :D :D |

Singling the 6 is a very daring move and may be the right move. The severe cutback in distance is probably the biggest reason I am not singling. I envision this one having too much work to do late. I just don't know about this one. Unfortunately, my opinion is not clearer after sleeping on it. Possible singles for me.... Tomochichi in the 7th (Post hurts, but looks to be much the best to me) Stormin Yank in the 8th (blew by some good horses in his debut) Divine Wonder in the 9th (really seems to have his act together) Affirmed Action in the 10th (Addition of blinks gives this one a big wire to wire shot, needs a scratch of the Albertrani) Ticket(s) up later. My first crack at it last night was over $700, I've got some decisions to make because I am not spending that much today. |

Now that they are staying on the grass the 10 - Top Management in the 10th race is one to look at. He is a half to Rich in Spirit who is a two time Grade 3 winner on the grass. He only shows one small gap in a long series of works. The breeding says distance will not be a problem.
One to possibly include on your backup tickets. |

My ticket is getting too expensive. I will wait for scratches. |

The scratch of Rocklane in the 8th has helped me trim my ticket to only 7 in that leg

Some nice looking horses are being left out in order to make the ticket playable. As of now I have 3,8,11 on my main. |

Can't get excited about either of the two favorites - Vocabulary or Tomochichi. Tomochichi has scratched out of at least two starts (that I recall, and likely more) already this meet, yet to make his first start here at Tam although he's been herre since early Dec... - Don't know what the problem is, but the last work was a dull as dog poop and I'm simply not sold on this one. Vocabulary making his first start off a 6 month layoff would appear to need a race, E. Oro in the irons is no bargain, and the workouts, while steady, nothing of note other than they are even...
My top pick in the race if it were taken off the turf was the 7 Primogeniture and I'm leaving him in - going with the 6 Mr. Mombassa and will attempt to cover my asz with the 10 Tomochichi as the taller of the two pygmies. still got the 10th to go through |
Okay. My main ticket (for now, I've only changed it 5 times in the last half hour):
Race 5: 3 - Danzeagle 3rd 11 - My Attilissa Race 6: 4 - Max Is Not 6 - Siempre Verde Race 7: 9 - Backtracken 10 - Tomochichi Race 8: 3 - Stormin Yank 8 - Wynn a Tour 11 - Service Corps Race 9; 9 - Divine Wonder Race 10: 7 - Equation 8 - Affirmed Action 10 - Top Management 2 x 2 x 2 x 3 x 1 x 3 = $144 |

Not spending 532.00 to play this, but thought it an interesting ticket using A,B,C method with 2 B's or 1 C and the balance A's:
Race A B C 5) Leg 1- 1 // 11 // 3 // 6) Leg 2- 4,6 // 6,9 // 8 // 7) Leg 3- 6,7 // 10 // // 8) Leg 4- 3// 8,11 // 5,6,7,10 // 9) Leg 5- 9 // 6 // 10) Leg 6- 8,9// 7// 10 |

i cant single devine wonder..ill pass on playing but sometimes what looks too good isnt..the 10 could fire..and that was a wet fast track ... out of crypto he should have liked it.the 2 would be my single in there.. good luck you guys..

With a program, pool sweeper
5: 1,2,3,5,11
6: 4,6,7,8,9 7: 4,8,9,10 8: 3,4,6,11 9: 5,9 10: 7,9 Obviously not playing this but I kinda just came up with a thought. These tracks that have p6's and barely get any play, when they get these 40k carryovers, where maybe 40k will be bet in, would it be plausible to put a abnormally large ticket, given that maybe 30k of that will be tickets under $200, so I build the ticket above to be a pool sweeper. What the hell, it is play money anyways :) But if you can get 15/1 on $3200, would you take it? |
Nice to see Ronnie Allen Jr back riding and in the winners circle.
