Horses that have dropped out of sight

There are a a couple of 2yo's fillies that I thought had some potential that seem to have dropped out of sight...

HopeHopeHope a 2yo mdn filly that Biancone had at Saratoga...anyone know who has her now?? she ran on 9/2 at Saratoga but I have not seen nor heard of her since.

Moon de French a 2yo filly that Mott has/had that won at first asking on 9/2 at Saratoga...one work since then and has since dropped out of sight...any one know what happened to her??

Nightmare Affair

Someone needs to investigate what happened to sprinter Nightmare Affair. Rumors abound that he met his demise so insurance money could be collected.

Human beings are killed daily for insurance money. Are you suggesting this doesn't happen to to horses?

lemoncrush 11-19-2007 04:36 PM

What about the Sadler 3-yo, Exhale?
Loved his races earlier in 2007.
I know he had an injury, but thought he would be back by now.

Sure, and OJ busted into that hotel room in Vegas because he was looking for the 'real killer.'

He was never retired. He was brought back mid season last year and the same exercie rider who allowed him to go 35 and change last week let him go 34 and change last summer. He promptly re-injured the hind end muscle that they felt he hurt when he crashed into Afleet Alex at Pimlico.

Lawbreaker was one of my favorites since his maiden win at 50-1 last thanksgiving

He cut back in distance and raced that 7 furlong horse Noble Court on that hard santa anita surface in that 7furlong stakes... passed him after the wire

was supposed to win that stakes at sun (winstar derby?) but he injured himself in the work , and hasn't been right since

last race finished dead last.

baffert isn't at that top level this year. I though 07 could be a big year for Law Breaker

I think his last race was the 2005 Cigar Mile against Purge

I mentioned last night on ATR that Dan Ilman is doing a tremendous service to fans and the sport with his "Disabled List' in his DRF FormBlog. He keeps track of as many as he can that are on the shelf. Racing does a horrible job keeping the public informed of the whereabouts of horses like this. The game's lack of an Elias Sports Bureau-type function prevents publicity opportunities to keep us aware of who is still with us.

freddymo 11-20-2007 10:19 AM

Where is AoT?

sumitas 11-20-2007 11:08 PM

Darn good point. Just because a horse is injured, not retired, fans want to know how the rehab is going.

You've saved the "Horses that have dropped out of sight" thread from becoming a thread that dropped out of sight. Good work.

I believe Friesan Fire is on the comeback trail.. I have received about 3 or 4 notifications of his work outs..

Eightyfiveinafifty is another trying to make it back.
