I have sniffed the air about this one...and I do not like what I smell. This will be the most dangerous game of the year to date for Ohio who tends to go to sleepy-poo as they wish. ------------------- Well since Morty already had sniffed this one out...unlike you...ah don' thank so. |

We win..... you lose! :D Michigan vs. Ohio St. means nothing next week, while.... the Steelers are looking good..... in their division and the AFC :p |
Mighty big words from someone who I am quite sure prayed to every God known to mankind in those final seconds.
Great game....10 point fav. I think the best one was playing for your conferences title means nothing. There are likely upwards of 100 1A teams who just may disagree with you. Come back when you have a team up your sleeve who can even come close to the MadDogFighting Purple Raiders of Mount Union. Here we go Stihlers!! toot-toot Sickening. |

games pts per total yds
played game per game ------ ------ -------- Ohio St. 11 11.4 237.5 osu #1 scoring defense, #2 total LSU 10 16.7 236.8 lsu#1 total defense, #6 scoring Oregon 9 22.0 404.6 osu has 1 game left, lsu has 3, oregon has 2-3 games left. osu has not face the speed oregon has on offense or speed of lsu at wr and rb. osu has not faced a defense as fast as lsu. |
What LSU and Oregon have faced are Kentucky and CAL...teams who probably had not faced the speed of light before playing LSU and Oregon.
I honor myself with 10 pies: OOOOOOOOOO |
I wonder IF ND will accept a bowl bid to play Ohio State ?
|
Please stop, the thread almost died

Most intriguing BCS matchup...
Kansas v. LSU -- don't know how LSU would cook Jayhawks
Ducks would become Sauce Picante', or simply Duck Gumbo, for LSU. Plus, I don't really want to look at those horrible Oregon uniforms for 3-plus hours. |
heard something interesting yesterday. historically, teams with coaches leaving to take another jobs have have all lost and played poorly in bowl games.
don't look good for lsu after this weekend and les miles will be goin home to michigan and bo pellini back to nebraska. |
IMHO, Les Miles is sly fox. Refusing to discuss Michigan is both strategic for his team and for him personally. Also, he has stipulation in his contract that if he wins BCS championship game his pay will be elevated to top three. Currently, Les earn $1.8 million per year -- top 3 is $3 million minimum according to media reports. Is Michigan athletic foundation that well heeled? Plus, $1.5 million to buyout LSU contract. Total, $4.5 million first year!
Bo Pellini is very good defensive coach. However, staff is much easier to replace than head coach. Traditionally, LSU pays its assistants well -- better than many top jobs in BCS tier. Nebraska probably has big enough wallet to get him. Rebuilding program in decline is more difficult than some folks anticipate. Notre Dame had dead cat bounce, winning season, now, they are merely cannon fodder for their opponents. Silly season for coaches has officially begun and will continue through bowl season... |

pellini was on the solich staff when they were all let go. nebraska wants to to bring things back in to the family. pellini won't tolerate the quitters that are in that program now. weis' rope at nd has gotten shorter. apperently he has po'd some of the former players. nd needs linemen among other things and they don't have any bodies waiting to take over. they are using everyone they have and still can't handle navy and af. nd is in big trouble. |
