Thanks cause i forgot to check to see if Freddy had a mount tonight and sure enough..... :D

Good luck to you.

The last race tonight at Hollywood might be the worst race they have ever assembled. At least they don't put this crap on a Saturday. they must realize that everyone is already hammered by then and it doesn't matter

why wait that late?

ArlJim78 11-09-2007 07:32 PM

The track of the lakes and flowers offers up a challenging twilight card tonight, and we feel compelled to try our hand at the pick fours.

The opener is comprised of a quintet of Cal-breds, who will contest this heat going seven furlongs over the cushion track. Sharper cappers will no doubt remember that inside posts at this distance have not faired well since the man-made racing strip was put in one year ago. However, we favor Captain Sacto to roll here from the second slot. This son of Free House returns from a brief freshening after finding his calling as a sprinter. AD returns as pilot on horse who is now undefeated at seven panels, consistent AM drill pattern a plus for this Marty Jones trainee.

taking a stab at the late pick four
5) 3 4 5 9 10
6) 6 13 14
7) 7 3
8) 1 2 3 11 15

(not copying off you root, but just saw that we have nearly identical picks, i wrote this out without even seeing your picks.)
good luck!

Alright boys, Friday night lights at Hollywood, love it, can watch horse racing to 2 a.m. in N.Y. Will play at least the late pk4 split with pmac, lets get em tonight!

pointman 11-09-2007 07:52 PM

Do you guys think there will be enough pace for the 3 in the 7th race? Think the 2 may get very soft fractions and be tough to catch, although I really like the 7 here.

Pointman, I agree with your assessment. I will only use the 2 and 7 in the 7th.

Good Racing Luck

Bogey 11-09-2007 09:03 PM

Early PK4

R1 - 3 4 5 with 2 4 8 with 1 3 4 with 3 4 = $54

Late PK4

R5 - 4 6 8 with 6 10 14 15 with 2 7 with 1 2 11 = $72

Good Racing Luck

I think the 2 will hang and the 3 will get the first jump on the 7, unlike last time. They finally figured the 3 is a stalking/closing 1 turn horse. Expect an improvement tonight with the 3. I am singling in the pk6

pointman 11-09-2007 09:42 PM

Thanks for the analysis guys, debating with pmac as to what to do there in pk4. Not that my account can support it right now, but if I were to play the pk6, I would do this for $144:

3: 3,4,6,7
4: 6,11
5: 4,5,8
6: 13
7: 7
8: 2,11,15

Good luck to everyone playing!

pmacdaddy 11-09-2007 09:54 PM

Settled on a couple pk4 tickets. Good luck!

R5 - 4,5,8,9
R6 - 6,10,13,14,15
R7 - 2,3,7
R8 - 15
$60

R5- 4,5,8,9
R6 - 6,10,13,15
R7 - 7
R8 - 2,5,11,13,15
$80

pointman 11-09-2007 10:08 PM

on my fictional pk6, the 6 out in the third, sub the 14 in the 6th. $216.

Rootdog1 11-09-2007 10:10 PM

that was one bad race to kick off the pk6.....

Have a feeling there will be a few of those tonight, but the 4 made sense 3rd off, dropping and Turf/Synth.

Rootdog1 11-09-2007 10:20 PM

yes, I agreed (for once) with Schrup....it looked like a last resort drop after going north....I had heard this one had some health issues that required some time off back when Abrams claimed him...so thought he was going to run off form....and I bet that race comes back with a really slow fig. replay shows his lack of lead change....further signs of problems

Mike 11-09-2007 10:23 PM

Ready to begin here in the 4th with Chamayo, who is getting bet down to 5-2. Drops from msw into maiden claiming, a year's layoff, but it's non-winners she's up against. Heavily bet in that debut and swift works now

Rootdog1 11-09-2007 10:23 PM

I like the #4 here in the 4th

lol, I probably would have ran had I had that information. Just looked good from a straight past performance aspect. He aslo won at Hollywood at this distance on the cushion and was picking Talamo back up. Good luck on the pk4, as was Arljim, I was pretty much on the same page as you.

something that you saw in the paddock?

3kings 11-09-2007 10:27 PM

Playing a tri here 4,7 over 3,4,6,7 with 3,4,6,7. Won't pay a ton but is worth a try.

Rootdog1 11-09-2007 10:31 PM

good luck to you too point.

No, just pp's. That last race first time out was a good race, and now she drops. Her mare has dropped a stakes winner, and I think this one will like going 6f. But, more then anything - I just couldnt find anything else in the race at all. The #9 looked good on the track at 24-1 and it sounds like Periban thinks his horse has a good shot.

TitanSooner 11-09-2007 10:31 PM

3 horse

TitanSooner 11-09-2007 10:34 PM

brutal

whodey17 11-09-2007 10:34 PM

Well maybe there will be a double carryover after that 2 in the 4th.

I hear ya on that, when I looked at this race I thought they were all losers. Guess that is when a 65-1 shot comes in.

Rootdog1 11-09-2007 10:36 PM

Wow....carry

Rootdog1 11-09-2007 10:37 PM

with that kind of form turnaround, I would test the winner......that was a sick turn of foot....wow

Rootdog1 11-09-2007 10:39 PM

we need to hit this pk4 so we have cash for the double carry!!!

whodey17 11-09-2007 10:41 PM

I have no clue on this late pick 4 but I will take a stab.

Leg A - 2-4-5-7-8-9-10 (either it was a single in the 8 or go deep)
Leg B - 3-4-6-13-14-15 (good gosh what a mess of a race)
Leg C - 2
Leg D - 2

$42

Leg A - 4-8
Leg B - 13-14-15
Leg C - 2-3-7
Leg D - 2-5-11

$54

I'm not sure that the owners had money on that.

I hear you Root. I finally have a weekend off and I am trying to get back into this great sport. Maybe a winner will get my juices flowing once again.

I missed Friday night racing at Hollywood.

Scav 11-09-2007 10:45 PM

If it does carry, tomorrow is a pretty a pretty hittable card if you got some cash to hit it. Short fields within the sequence

4: 10 horses
5: 6 horses
6: 11 horses (But that nut Vindication horse is in this race (Signature Move))
7: 9 horses
8: 6 horses
9: 11 horses

tough beat on that early pk4 bogey, hard to see that 2 coming. Nice stab, though.

TitanSooner 11-09-2007 10:49 PM

Late P4
-------
5: 8
6: 6,10,14,15
7: 2,5,7
8: 2,5,11,13
$48

whodey17 11-09-2007 10:52 PM

Boy that 10 (Mortal Rush) sure is a pretty horse. That 2 horse is worth a shot at 7-1. Pretty nice field right here.
