Just your everyday 300-1 shot

winning the 2nd at Chester today

6 GEORGIAN BAY 666.20 21.60
1 EXPRESSIVE 5.20 2.80

$1 EXA (6/1) $198.50 $1 TRI (6/1/1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) $419.60 $1 DD (7/6) $69.20

the $21.60 is actually the show price. I am assuming that noone had any place money on the horse.

If you had the DD, how pissed are you....

$6 was bet to win on that steed. $7 to show.

He was 3-2.

also...no one hit the early pick 3 there either (races 1-3). All the payoffs were showing 2 of 3 and it ended up paying $8.90 for $1

SentToStud 11-08-2007 05:06 PM

I'd never heard of Chester before this post. Virginia?

I was going to ask what the heck is "Chester", but didn't want to appear ignorant. This must be a relatively new track, as I have never heard of it before, and I used to be a Harness guy.

All the big boys drive there during the day. Purses are really good.

Tetrick
Morgan
Manzi
D. Miller

Havent seen him there, but I haven't paid a great deal of attention to it.

Chester is a brand new track (racino) just south of Philly. It is a benificiary of the new PA slot money. Chester is perhaps one of the slumiest cities in the entire world. The purses recieve a big boost from the new slot money just like Presque Isle in Erie even thought their meet was much longer. They are pulling in good riders and trainers because the are within 90 minutes of Freehold and Big M.

I've been through that area, but it was about 20 some years ago. Have they replaced Dover Downs?

disappearingdan_akaplaya 11-08-2007 10:51 PM

funny how alotta the guys you mentioned like morgan, tetrick and sears all were longtime drivers here in illinois but left once the purses went down the sh1tter, tony hada go elsewhere so he could make that money to gamble at the casino
