He'll be missed :( thanks for making the Yankees "the champions" that they have been... the past 12 years. |
A NoTorre Public.
Think it was a face saving maneuver for both? I kinda do. |
Don Mattingly. The 'stache.

Do you think the 'stache was being stashed all along? |

that '84 Donruss Mattingly looks to go..... up! :D |

This is SOOOOO true!! I always admired Don. |

I think Joe more or less did that...he's a classy guy. |

He seems like it....and you could be right. How about this....they hope NIM-ROD opts out.....and then they can easily sign both Sabbathia and Santana. Their pitching woes would get fixed in a hurry. |
Joe Girardi? That's a slap in the face to Donnie Baseball. Don't those fools know Donnie is like a Chuck Norris Jr.?

shame on the Yankee brass! they handled the whole thing with Joe like CRAP!!! |

now i see why so many enjoy rooting against the yankees. talk about badly handled, and made a crappy offer that was bound to be rejected.

Girardi is a bad fit. He couldn't get along with the bosses in Miami and he was against using a few of the many rookies that produced big in 2006. How's he going to do working for the people in NY.
Mattingly doesn't seem ready able or even willing. They need a big name. LaRussa or Bobby Valentine is who they should go after. |
as he should

20 years prior--NO rings. who didn't think halfway thru this season that the yanks would miss the playoffs for the first time in over a decade? i doubt anyone honestly thought that they could pull things together, and get to the post season. |
