Little One

For any of you that were at Arlington and met myself or my wife(who was pregnant at the time) my wife Shelly gave birth to our new daughter Jordan on 10-2-07. She came 9 weeks early and is a little small at 4lbs 1oz, but she is doing great. Mom is home, but Jordan will spend some time at the NICU to help her grow and develop. Last week was extremely stressful for both of us, but the end result was definitely worth it. Just thought I would share with our DT family

Couldn't agree more! The nurses and doctors in the NICU are some of the most special people I have ever met. The whole experience has been wonderful. Jordan got out of her box today and is doing great. She is an overachiever already. Thanks for all the kind words. It looks like she may be home in time for the breeders cup.

Glad to hear everything is progressing in a good way. Sometimes, when you hear NICU, you hold your breath. Now, we can all start breathing normally again.

Hey Sean, are Shelly and Jordan still doing well? Any new news? :)

Thank you for all the well wishes. It has been a long couple of weeks, but Jordan is doing well. She is gaining weight and we are starting to look foward to taking her home. There is no exact date yet, but we are told it may be in a couple of weeks or sooner. We will keep you posted. Thanks, Shelly

Well actually today is the day as the Dr put it. Jordan will get to come home and be with us today. We are leaving for the hospital now and we will be bringing her home later today. She is doing great. She weighed 5lbs 7oz yesterday and was 18 1/2 inces long when last measured last Sunday. She spent a full month in the NICU, but has always been extremely healthy with no setbacks or complications. It will definitely be nice for Shelly and I to have her home and it will be a relief and a ton less driving. Thanks to everyone for the kind thoughts. We hope to bring Jordan to a DT gathering next spring or summer.

So far Fantastic! She is 6lbs 5.5oz today and is doing great. She enjoys watching both college and pro football since I get stuck at home now during the weekend (not really complaining). We will see how long it takes before she is riding horses. My guess she will be on a horse before she learns how to walk.

Riot 11-13-2007 12:41 AM

Wow, she's getting big! You two getting any sleep? :p
