Perhaps the quote of the year?

From a drf article talking about Biancone and cobra venom.

"In my mind, Patrick is innocent," said Schwartz. "I asked him whether he did anything wrong, and he said no."

ArlJim78 08-08-2007 06:10 PM

Well thats all the evidence I need..

Danzig 08-08-2007 06:14 PM

well, then it seems most jails should be empty...

don't they all say no?

ALostTexan 08-08-2007 06:17 PM

Very well may be the quote of the year.

Thunder Gulch 08-08-2007 07:32 PM

OJ didn't do it.

Danzig 08-08-2007 07:37 PM

'it's not mine'

'the cops put it there'

' i don't know where that came from'

'i don't know how it got there'

'these are my brothers pants'

'i swear to god'

My vote for quote of the year still goes to this one (a derbytrail classic):

"Nobizlikeshowbiz, is he beatable, at this point ? i know alot of ppl wont call any horse unbeatable.... especially one who has already lost... but at this point is this horse beatable? im not sure he is, in his career he has done nothing wrong, only loss was his second career start in a grade 1 which is a huge step up, he lost to more seasoned more experinced horses that day. since then this horse has done nothing wrong he has toyed with rivals in his 2 races since and he seems to have improved a ton. this horse can set the pace, sit close and in my opinion he could probelly come from well back. i think we might be seeing another barbaro like horse in nobiz."

I'm a horrible person and I can't resist.....

My pick...

"As far as i'm concerned i know the truth, and i suppose that is all that matters now."

No one has posted anything about the World Jockey Challenge at Ascot yet, right?

Aussie jockey Darren Beadman will be there.

Any thoughts?

Oh, you should start a thread (or tell me more here)..... I'm a bit behind on the news and got as far as the foot and mouth scare articles this morning.

Who else will be there?

(Oh and thanks). :)

Riot 08-08-2007 09:24 PM

I've seen his son, Mitchell Beadman, come through on the rail and nail Dad at the wire a few times this last week or so! Mitchell is fearless and patient, riding the short trip and waiting until they turn for home and spread out from the rail, and is the hot jock to wager upon now, no matter the horses odds.

Darren is excellent - he can save a horse and time his run perfectly, to get that nose in front at the wire. Unbelievable. Cool as all get out.

Add in some shameless psychotic behavior from Grits and constant berating of everyone's handicapping acument by Bellsbendboy and yes, we certainly had a beautiful and trolltastic clusterf*ck of massive proportions.

That sums it up very nicely B-Dub.

I miss PG1985 too (but one does get tired of shooting fish in a barrel). The others? Not so much.

I don't think he is banned. At least he isn't listed as such. I think he may have been suspended and just never returned. Now he has simply vanished.
I always knew there was a lot of Bobby Fischer in him.

I emailed him,and he said when he tries to log in,it won't let him.I told him to email an administrator.I'll email him again.

i think you forget who we are talking about. i'm not sure he handle such complex tasks in his life!

maybe he could do a new name based on the potential progeny from a mating of tgm to slobiz?

You are probably right on that. Now we just need The Green Monkey to become the next Jinzhu:

interesting story.

after careful consideration, i would have to think slobiz would be the female, as she's too slo to evade the monkey's advances.

i was going to insult someone (drugS) on here using the 3 centimeter factoid from that article, but i thought better of it.
